Afternoon chaps.

I have ordered a cordless impact wrench.
Taking a bit of a chance on this but these are really popular in Asian countries and Africa.

They have come a long way if they beat air impacts, I know cordless recip saws are powerful judging by the damage I've seen to some of our vans

Work has been so stressful of late that I've booked my birthday off, never felt the need before

Good morning.

Over the years cordless impact drivers have got better and better and prices come down a lot for powerful ones. Some of them beat the best air impacts.
Most garages now use cordless impact wrenches as they are so much better than pneumatic ones. I actually have an air impact wrench but by the time I get the compressor out and get it running etc I might as well use breaker bars.

My turn today, up at 5.45am, would a cordless impact driver have enough power?

How can you remember all that, it's funny but when I read the Mk5 Cortina automatic it bought back memories as I had one and it drove really well, I loved it but it was a company car so I could not keep it, memories eh

'fraid not. I did have a Honda 50cc moped and my brother had a Honda 250 who he later sold to a friend of mine who completely rebuilt it and today is still playing and rebuilding Honda motorbikes along with others. It was just after my times the Yahama bikes all became popular. I was very quickly after my moped into cars and not bikes. Mk1 Cortina 1963 model in spruce green. Rebuilt most of the mechanical bits on it. Then a Mk2 Cortina, Singer Vogue, Vauxhall 101 which was very unreliable, then Escort for a short time until I bought a Ford Granada V6. Next I got a Chrysler 180 automatic. Hmmm, after that I had a Mk3 Cortina Estate, next a Saloon Mk3 Cortina, then Mk5 Cortina automatic identical to a Ghia model without the wood trim inside. Loved this car and kept it many years and probably best car I ever had. It was also unique as the original owner wanted all the features of the Ghia but not the wood. Next a Sierra Estate, then Sapphire which I kept 21 years. Used Mrs J's Fiesta for 8 or 9 years and you know what happened to it and then bought the Duster.

The Duster is the first brand new car I have had, although the Motorhome was new and my Sierras where both just a few months old and low mileage.
