I did try salt and it did help with the weeds but the pigeons seemed to like it lol

Cheep effective on gravel and long lasting salt bag of salt for water softener powder type. Not cubed

Nope - bleach will not help. Indeed it will encourage healthy growth of any new weeds already in the ground.

Thanks JJ, I even tried bleach which turns them brown but as soon as it rains that are back, I forgot about Doff and will go to Home Bargains, I had some Round up but oh so pricey

I use Doff Weedkiller concentrate I buy in Home Bargains as way way much cheaper than anywhere else. You can also get 1 litre ready to use in spray bottles.
All of these Domestically available weedkillers take a while to work and breakdown in soil. All much the same and really expensive in most shops.

Home remedies which are safe -- vinegar. Really only kills the leaves so weeds will regrow quite quickly.

Antifreeze - yes it works and I have killed a shrub by accident because it got into the ground near it.

I used to use Weedol Pathclear. ..quite quick to see results.

Any Tips on weed killers, my gardens are gravelled and I think the membrane has rotted out the back, I heard antifreeze will do it but also could poison wildlife, don't want to harm anything

It's true about age catching up with us, I'm still struggling with my calf and did 30 minutes on the treadmill yesterday but wary of going on a walk in case it suddenly hurts again and I have to limp home, bloody fed up!

Wait till you get old then the rattle and creeks come from f the lungs and the joints. One good thing though is the noises are dampened down by the poor hearing. Happy days.

I can't stand rattles and creaks either, my car was making a noise behind the dashboard but it stopped of its own accord thankfully

...Oh I did manage to fix another rattle on the Duster. I am obsessed with finding any rattles, thing is the car is so quiet I hear even the quietest of creaks and noises and as I fix them I then hear even quieter ones.

As you forecast a good day tomorrow I shall plan an outside task. I have not washed the Motorhome yet since getting home. The sides look fine, just the roof needs a clean, and should wind the awning out to make sure it is dry...forgot to do this which is rather bad of me.
