14/9/2018 08:34 | No interviews, unusual. Good, rather he spends his time talking to interested parties than the camera (wishful thinking). | paleje
13/9/2018 17:08 | paleje, 20 people may be being generous unless some locals were attracted in with the prospect of receiving a "free goody bag"! People like Mick don't circumnavigate the globe for a 20 speaking slot to punters in Edinburgh, he will have tacked that onto a trip to the UK for other things, IMO. Northland may be able to assist with connecting him to potential financiers, who knows? | andy
13/9/2018 16:25 | Don't know if he really thinks it but that's what he says. Makes you wonder why Mick flew all this way to do a 30 min spot in front of what, 20-25 investors, that's about the average at these do's. What's the real reason. And what's the real reason for bringing Northland onboard. Broader audience, Mick said, but there's no sign of any interest from them so what are they doing. Something's gotta give as they say. But when. | paleje
13/9/2018 14:25 | So, PJ thinks we should have a market cap in excess of £50m. It all depends on how Molyhill gets financed, if at all... AIMHO... | abrahe00
13/9/2018 13:47 | Most of us would agree it's ridiculous, Paul, but not that there's no reason:- @pauljohnson9691 2h2 hours ago More Buying #THR - no reason this shouldn’t be 10p+ imo but current 1.6p mid is quite ridiculous | paleje
13/9/2018 11:20 | You may well be right Andy. I assume Shares Magazine readers are small PIs like me and it's somewhat disconcerting that Mick sees us as a worthwhile audience. Is he thinking of a share issue perhaps? I hope he's also taking out some time to meet with mining majors and serious corporate financiers. Time will tell. For now we will just drift. AIMHO... | abrahe00
13/9/2018 10:30 | abrahe00, Potential new investors, not "new shareholders", surely? Wasn't it an open presentation to shares Magazine people? It doesn't really surprise me to be honest, I'd love to know how many people actually turned up, they were trying to promote it with free "goody bags" recently, never a good sign! | andy
13/9/2018 09:05 | Can't see much comment about, abraeh00, one guy who attended tweeted a pic of MB and said it was a good presentation. I imagine there will be some coverage from the organisers and probably some interviews later. | paleje
13/9/2018 08:46 | Almost an hour since the market opened and not a single trade... Mick's presentation to new shareholders must've gone down really well then... not... | abrahe00
11/9/2018 23:58 | It was ok news Andy, but the malaise here needs a bit more than that. Micks last tweet before heading to the airport:- @MickBilling · 4h Looking forward to talking to investors in Edinburgh this week about @ThorMining #THR Not here for a fund raising however . Just to promote a company with great projects. Quote Tweet Share_Talk @Share_Talk @ThorMining | paleje
11/9/2018 21:49 | paleje, Yes I'm aware of the mining sector sliding, even the large gold producers are down significantly in 2018 (except Kirkland Lake, and even that's sliding now!). I still thought the news today was OK as it gives them some shares they can sell to bring in some revenue if needs be, unless they're restricted of course? Do they do that in Australia? | andy
11/9/2018 17:47 | Andy, confidence in the sector is waning generally as Noirua says but confidence in Mick ability and integrity is dropping faster. It didn’t need bad news to send it down just a few nervous investors wanting out and others follow suit. It’s happened before here, almost as if stage managed. | paleje
11/9/2018 17:26 | The mining sector overall is in a down trend from big cap to micro-cap. The smaller sector is being hit harder as most are explorers. There isn't really a floor in most sectors at the moment, unless a giant like Newmont arrives with buckets full of cash - as in one case recently. | noirua
11/9/2018 16:40 | abrahe00 11 Sep '18 - 14:26 - 4901 of 4904 ------- Yes but I was referring to the sudden drop today, on no bad news. The Hawkstone transaction is surely positive in that they have acquired around AUS $2 million worth of shares? | andy
11/9/2018 15:58 | Think PJ & Co getting less success though in currently hostile conditions? abrahe00, 4901, all 4 of those then start adding more but it might take a long time:) Ages ago an Aussie wised me about Mick and the way the company was run and for whose benefit, he posts on hotcopper under the name mechturk, he wouldn't mind me giving that as he posts openly but not frequently. He's worth a read. I was also told, not by him, that some holders made use of a neat little cloaking service Beaufort used to offer, which hid true identities enabling people to trade anonymously so they could be selling without it being known. And vise-versa. Perfect if you wanted to give one impression but do the opposite. So it's a bit of a can of worms and the MMs seem happy to play on sentiment at any opportunity. That said, to my mind we are severely undervalued even after pruning Mick's numbers and it's why I've stayed in although I'm underwater again as of today. Expecting some unexpected news to revive the share price because it's ridiculous and I'm sure Mick will be asked about it tomorrow as it tells a story different to the one he'll be giving out. He'll profess not to know why, but he does. | paleje
11/9/2018 14:36 | Pj and his crew on Twitter give cause for concern IMHO | iglenn
11/9/2018 14:36 | But he has been pumping it incessantly for the past weeks. | iglenn
11/9/2018 14:26 | @Andy: Any ideas why the sudden fall? - Lack of investment/JV/Partne - Too many cheap outstanding warrants - Slow progress on already long delayed projects - Incompetent CEO Take you pick... | abrahe00
11/9/2018 14:03 | Any ideas why the sudden fall? Trades are small, and the bid offer is now 1.35 - 1.7, which suggests the MM's are hedging their bets. | andy
11/9/2018 13:54 | If, back in June, Mick didn't think the share price reflected the progress made by the company, I wonder what he makes of it now! The long awaited updates are out, seemingly better than anticipated, and yet we're down another 25% since. I'm also disappointed with MTR to some extent. They could bring more to the table, but clearly feel unable to unwilling to. And, to top it all off, mick is in Edinburgh trying to sell THR to a bunch of tight fisted Scots! Good luck Mick... | abrahe00
11/9/2018 12:25 | It's the old "supply & demand"... There are still a few million warrants out there waiting to be cashed in. And by the looks of it, no takers. Lots of supply and little demand, so down we go... | abrahe00
11/9/2018 12:03 | Are the MMs loving this or what. 10% down, over a mil off our mcap on a few grands worth of sells:) | paleje
10/9/2018 09:21 | I suppose it'll get played a bit abrahe00, it always has done. I'm not sure what Mick will be telling the Scots on Wednesday, we certainly haven't reached the turning point he talked about a few weeks back when he admitted over-promising and under-delivering so far this year. Only one thing people want to see - 3rd party validation, one way or another. | paleje
10/9/2018 07:59 | At least one MM has the bid at 1p... Not good... | abrahe00
08/9/2018 10:08 | Not Mick's exact words but in a podcast Q&A in Dec 2017 he said best way to sell was to crack on towards production. I agreed at the time, still do. Still have the link too if anyone wants to refresh, not for debate just to compare then with now. | paleje |
