22/8/2018 08:33 | Pale, I'm hoping that tomorrow's update shows an NPV closer to A$90-100m NPV as this one of the smaller projects will be worth multiples of the market cap. Who knows it may spark a bit of buying before a JV etc. In the recent interview Mick also mentioned getting some numbers in for PM and that he hoped both MH DFS and PM SS didn't come at the same time. That would make it seem like PM scoping study isn't far off now too. Regards, Ed. | edgein
21/8/2018 08:42 | Robert, Yes definitely a good time for THR to have the largest undeveloped Tungsten resource in the USA, scoping study overdue for that one too. I wonder will it cover a larger % of our market cap after that comes out. :) Regards, Ed. | edgein
21/8/2018 08:38 | Pale, Yes the increased efficiency in sorting, taking in the deeper economics and the strong molybdenum and tungsten prices will all help the NPV of the project. When you divide THR's £13m cap into the three projects (Kapunda, Molyhil and Pilot Mountain) £4.5m each seems very very light. The increased NPV for Moly could well secure some of these asian parties that Mick has been over courting. Regards, Ed. | edgein
21/8/2018 08:34 | The Deacon, I totally agree. | andy
21/8/2018 08:33 | While copper is having a bit of a lull its great to have exposure to tungsten particularly given its strategic classification in US. | robertjbeck
21/8/2018 08:03 | Interesting too that while tungsten has had a very good year, molybdenum has increased by around 67% in the last 6 months its now around $26,000/tn. Regards, Ed. | edgein
21/8/2018 08:02 | Ridiculous that trading on AIM is allowed to continue, whilst ASX is suspended pending seemingly good news. | the deacon
21/8/2018 07:59 | Pile in........great news coming here! | cudmore
21/8/2018 07:50 | Pale, Yeah could come up with deals for MH and PM. A JV will look more likely after the DFS imo. Regards, Ed. | edgein
21/8/2018 07:45 | Right to hold tight. So 5 months later than promised, MH upgrade will be released by Thursday. I hope it is substantial, enough to be accompanied or followed swiftly by commercial news. Mick told us in June they were engaged in 'accelerating and intensifying' talks on more than one front. Edit - yes Ed at long last | paleje
21/8/2018 07:45 | Oh interesting, suspended on ASX pending Molyhil DFS. Could be lively here between now and Friday given the small cap and large assets. Might be time for folks to get stapped in. Might have the scoping study for PM soon too, they've certainly been working on it for ages. Regards, Ed. | edgein
20/8/2018 10:04 | M/M having a laugh here with the spread this morning. Must be trying to hit stops. Several on bid at 1.5 but sells quoted at 1.75. So why not move the bid to 1.7. Know the game. Holding tight. | robertjbeck
17/8/2018 14:51 | Trump's plans for self sufficiency for US military and strategic industry gathering pace, could be opportune for THR. 21m21 minutes ago More LuckyInvestments Retweeted paul johnson @ThorMining is poised to hit the sweet spot with the US #CriticalMinerals review. Who knew a small U.K. #mining outfit had a $1.8b #tungsten resource in #Nevada? Are there any other #tungsten mines on US soil? #thr stock is short supply- this is going in one direction | paleje
13/8/2018 17:29 | The previous iii site was so easy to use and navigate, the current one is bloody awful and I only use it because I trade through them. Won't use the discussions boards at all as you need a degree from NASA to follow where everything is. Try print out ALL your portfolio info on 1 page..... If it ain't broke, don't fix it !(unless it's Mick's lack of movement on News) | casket1
13/8/2018 09:39 | Dig and sell, Thanks for your reply, and I agree, I don't like the conversation format either, I much prefer the easy layout of ADVFN. Quite why people feel they need to fix something that is working well is beyond me. I remember Shares mag converting to become something like the Economist, I told them it was a mistake as I cancelled my subscription, they told me it was "what readers were demanding", then lost a lot of subscribers, and promptly changed back again! I wonder how many like me never re-subscribed? | andy
13/8/2018 09:06 | Thanks for the welcome messages folks.Andy: ii.co.uk recently changed their nice, simple "newest post at the top" discussion board format into a conversation style format, but they have really messed it up. The search function doesn't work properly, you can't even find your own posts without a lot of effort! Some users seem to like it, but many (like me) have moved on.Fortunately, they have only broken their virtual portfolio & discussion platform so far. The trading platform is OK, for now at least. I used TD Waterhouse as my broker for years and only trade with ii since they bought TD earlier this year. We'll see how it goes. My SIPP is with AJ Bell, so if ii mess up their trading site, I will move my ISA there too!DaS | dig and sell
12/8/2018 21:18 | Dig and sell, Welcome. Our of interest what have iii done that has ruined their boards? I gave up on them many years ago. | andy
12/8/2018 19:45 | Welcome to the board Dig and Sell. Good to see someone whose been in this longer than me! Keep the faith eh? | hoper1
12/8/2018 16:38 | The plunging Tungsten price is one reason Thor has not progressed. I purchased shares at 3.25p and 1.6p accepting now that despite the Twitter comments it is best to look beyond that for the real facts. THR have excellent assets but the commodity price has an affect like it or not. All micro-caps need partners to progress a tenement quickly and despite the waffling nothing much else has happened on that front. Twitter comments fail to get amongst the numbers when a commodity drops in value. Easy to say it's going up again but you can't be sure and guess-ology is not a reason to bang drums in delight. The amount of time needed to pay-off costs rises and a prospective mine becomes higher risk and therefore worth less. | noirua
12/8/2018 15:03 | Hello fellow long-suffering THORites. I've just signed up to the ADVFN boards after finally giving up on ii.co.uk. They've "improved it worse" to the point where their discussion site is pretty much unusable.I've been with THR for 10 years now. Like you I'm tired of the endless promises of free beer tomorrow, but I keep hoping. I think there is real potential here, they just need to get on with it. Maybe 2018 will be the year? :)Looking forward to hearing your views, and maybe, just maybe, 5p by Christmas (but I'm not saying which year!).DaS | dig and sell
10/8/2018 17:10 | Drift down to 1.5p, I think now. | bsg |
