A view from this board: why would the company commit to an expensive ad campaign which they would have to be signed at least 4 months ago and go on a spending spree regarding their own brand hotels, surely conserve the cash to see them through the winter. As has been said many times before , something's not right here???

Couldn't agree more Buywell. It's a market where fundamentals don't seem to matter at the min. I'd assume one of the reasons Warren Buffett is sat on so much cash.

What is playing out here is now a sign of the times

Going to happen more and more

The weaker companies with debt and operational/other issues are being targeted and problems being 'found out' and aired / broadcast via the web and social media in such a way that share prices fall ever faster and companies go into administration quicker than they ever did even 3 or 4 years ago.


Never has RISK been more an important factor in holding a share.

I'm not a paid shorter I have a Plus500 account that I'm short on simple... my main line of work is sales and property :) we'll see Monday if I make money or not.

And on top of all that market conditions are horrible and they've removed large chunks of marketing spend. It's a lost cause but clearly Fosun saw some value - I still think they are taking a huge risk on but that remains to be seen.

I'd add that I feel for genuine investors here. If you look back only 12 months bonds were trading at par and share price was 15x what it is now. Quite amazing how sentiment has turned but your entire fury should be at the management and market conditions.

I think its a better kind of debate over on LSE to be honest. This site is and has been infiltrated by paid people who constantly write utter garbage. Most of us have better things to do with our time than read let alone reply to morons.
I've filtered nearly forty people on here in the last two weeks. There like bloody ants, just when you kill a load, there's a bloody army of them to replace those exterminated.

As for a bid, you are delusional. EU Airline prevents bid anyway.

Also, if he was intending to make a bid, why buy a stake, there was no need to.

He just wants in on the deal, and it looks like he's out of luck.

I would not be surprised if he was selling out.
