23 May 2019 Statement re media speculation Thomas Cook Group notes the media speculation regarding a potential sale of its Northern Europe business. Thomas Cook Group confirms that it has received a highly preliminary and unsolicited indicative offer from Triton Partners for its Northern Europe business, comprising its tour operator and airline in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The group is currently evaluating this offer alongside the ongoing strategic review of its Group Airline, announced in February 2019. The group has received multiple bids, including for the whole, and parts, of the airline business and the Board of Thomas Cook Group will consider these approaches with the aim of maximising value for all shareholders. There can be no certainty that a transaction will be concluded with Triton Partners. Thomas Cook Group will make a further announcement as appropriate. ENDS About Thomas Cook Group Plc. Just spoken with IG …. there are currently shorting restrictions in place to protect the stock from being driven down. Once those restrictions are lifted then, in my view, it's freefall.

We get it however they need probably at least a £2bn cash injection to clear debt and give them cash to get restructuring through, they are borrowing £6m per day based on latest figures and they are in the process of possibly selling off the two best parts of the business, without those that rises to £7m per day even after they are sold that’s a staggering £2bn plus a year! imho dyor

That part of the business is actually worth a lot more than £500m. Most likely closer to 700m-800m.
