28/1/2011 17:58 | It looks that way, another placing at 0.50 is very likely imo. The "cash" raised from the sale will be for working purposes only, seeing as they'll only get £100k a month rather than a lump sum. | induna123

28/1/2011 17:02 | Blimey, I was hoping for more than £1.3M, thats what Softline was bought for 6 months ago, and we still have to pay most of that back, which means the rest of the software division has been sold for less than nothing. Can't help feeling that its mates together in this one, but I suppose will define if VSA doe's ultimatly become a success. I guess we will lose a few of our recent arrivals now? | poombear
28/1/2011 16:32 | Should have gone with my instincts. It sounded like the software business was in trouble, struggling against microsoft. Third Quad in talks over selling software businesses Last updated: Thu 20th January, 2011 | Time: 08:42am Third Quad Capital is in discussions with a potential buyer of its Crawley-based software businesses. The software division comprises Ability Software and Formjet Innovations, combined with Softline UK, which was acquired in August. These businesses operate from a single location and the workforce has been restructured to reduce costs. The company revealed earlier this month that December's snow and the delay of computer games due for release before Christmas were likely to affect the software division's results. Ability, despite some breakthroughs, was struggling against the monopoly position of Microsoft. It said of the talks: "There can be no certainty as to whether a transaction will occur, nor as to the structure or terms on which any transaction might take place." The company wants to focus fully on its financial services division, VSA Capital, which is said to be performing better than expected and is seeing good quality deal flow, which is "very encouraging" for the long term growth of the business. | induna123
28/1/2011 16:28 | Shame they couldn't sell to someone out of the t1ps camp and maybe got a fairer price. | argy2
28/1/2011 16:20 | Shammy and his decimal point! What a fraudster. | argy2
28/1/2011 16:10 | Its A POPPYCAT & BAGPUSS stock , | wearehere
28/1/2011 16:07 | Not sure where shammy got his valuation from, but I can hazard a guess it was from where the sun don't shine haha. A lot of people seemed to get in near the spike, jumping on the proverbial bandwagon, and were then forced to ramp as the share price pulled back...personally I'm not panicking but then I was fortunate enough to get in at .60p initially. Sold some on the way down from 1.30p, but retaining a core holding as I believe in the long-term story. Don't forget Andrew Monk turned Oriel Securities into a broking business that at one point was valued at around £40m. | m1das_touch
28/1/2011 16:05 | wearehere, you'll have to do better than that. COO is a dog stock. | induna123
28/1/2011 16:04 | A better bet coolabi epic COO ONLY 6.25p a share and just signed 4 deals for new VENTURE thats exploding ! | wearehere
28/1/2011 15:58 | Where the f did shammy get £12m from? Did he get the decimal point in the wrong place? | induna123
28/1/2011 15:52 | To be fair to T1ps.com, TW only ever said that the software businesses were "plausibly worth £1.5m." The false expectation created here was purely down to rampers who hadn't done any research and were speculating wildly and unrealistically about the valuation. As for me, this announcement is exactly what I expected and I'll use any share price weakness to top up. VSA Capital always was and still is the real story here and I personally back Andrew Monk to create long-term shareholder value by building a great broking business. As always DYOR, and don't listen to rampers! | m1das_touch
28/1/2011 15:51 | It was worth £6 million this morning. (616m shares in issue, with more to come by the sounds of it). No wonder Lawson was dumping last week. | induna123

28/1/2011 15:50 | Sorry guys but this is to be expected the company has an awful long way to be viable | solarno lopez
28/1/2011 15:49 | Not a bad lump of extra cash for a company currently worth just over £4m. | megatart
28/1/2011 15:42 | Another crock from T1ps and Rivington Street Sold their technology assets to the house broker for £0.2m cash upfront and 11 monthly payments of £0.1m... so will basically cover the monthly cashburn In return the technology director has resigned and will be paid 12 months notice, £300,000 cash, £250,000 worth of shares and repaid an additional £600,000 loan The company's sole business will now be that of VSA Capital, the company it acquired for £1 six months ago, whose audited accounts showed gross assets of £0.13m (the net assets must be even worse) | bookiebuster
28/1/2011 15:34 | not what i was expecting ref the news ........ | alpha534u
