Another important development today: FDA approval for the use of Permacol for certain types of abdominal repair:

Accidentally half-mentioned in The Times overnight editions.. but not actually named! The paper described yesterday's news affecting BQE and HCEG, describing the latter as rising 10p to 185p - which of course is what TSL did, not HCEG.

Sounds like they were previously about to mention TSL and switched stories.

Good rise today, on the announcement of a Teach-in for analysts and investors (I'm sorry to say I was not invited myself, but I'm not sure I have the stomach for it anyway):

1 December 2004

Tissue Science Laboratories Plc
TSL Teach-in For Analysts and Investors

Aldershot, UK - Tissue Science Laboratories plc (LSE: TSL), the medical devices
company specialising in tissue replacement and repair, is holding a teach-in for
analysts and investors today.

In addition to the Company, two guest speakers will be attending and speaking at
the meeting - Professor Norman Williams of the London Hospital and St
Bartholomew's and Dr Paul Sibbons of the Northwick Park Institute of Medical
Research. Professor Williams will be speaking about Permacol's(R) use in
colorectal surgery and stoma repair, from the surgeon's point of view. Dr
Sibbons will be speaking on the potential new applications of Permacol(R) in
orthopaedic and vascular surgery.

Other topics covered throughout the morning will include an in-depth view of the
manufacturing process and science behind TSL's collagen sheet material Permacol
(R), and the current sales operations in General Surgery (complex and recurring
hernia repair) in North America and Europe. Potential future uses of the
technology in other surgical areas will also be discussed.

The teach-in will take place at the London Stock Exchange, 10 Paternoster
Square, London, EC4M 7LS and will commence at 9:30am. For those unable to
attend, presentation slides will be available on request.

Nice and quiet here. I'd like to see the charts at the top of the thread. Is Oneliner still about, and if so can you put them in, please?

A 32,000 buy this a.m?

Also saw this mention in the Sunday Times Malta Edition.

Tissue Science Laboratories, which produces unique tissue implants, was highlighted last January. This is a loss-making medical devices company and has a higher-than-average risk profile. However, it also has tremendous growth potential.

The company is very sensitive to dollar weakness since most of its sales are in the US. This is an especially important consideration while it is still loss making. We are bearish on the dollar long term but also think that in that same time period sales growth will more than compensate.

We remain happy to hold for the long term. The shares have risen from 105p to 152p, a gain of 45%.

Yes. You only need to buy 2k shares and the price is hiked up as there are only 2 MM's on this one. Of course if you wanna get out in a hurry it won't be easy as the stock is tightly controlled but have you noticed that the price holds even when the market drops. Buy and hold and the rewards will be reaped in 2005 when the company becomes profitable. Projected earnings for 2005 are 11.78p and for 2006 15.27p.

Nice summing up there phoenixbird.

I can add little to the discussion here-.....yet-.....but a top analyst friend mentioned TSL to me last December. As he put it- the company has terrific product and distribution partners. Of the eight companies mentioned to me, TSL was one of his top two picks. Wish I`d listened to him then!
Still- I bought in today as -one -I have the cash and- two-the story looks better than ever.

Delayed buy still to show I see ;-0

It would be silly to try and predict what the share price is likely to be in the future but one thing is for sure, sales growth is imminent and the company is rapidly heading towards profitability. The company's Permacol product is patented worldwide and is licensed to CR Bard in the USA....... a multi billion dollar company with sales crews in the US and Europe. The latest deal with Zimmer is in itself a blockbuster potential with huge potential sales. The AGM for TSL is in June.....in the meantime check out the company's website for product info and check out the web sites of CR Bard and Zimmer...huge upside on this one. This is a growth company and is for those who are prepared to hold for another 12 months at least. The Permacol product is unique and multi faceted...there is nothing like it on the market!

been told it could go a lot higher now they have a salesforce of 40 in the US.
400% production capacity increase now may be not enough if it takes off.
