The fact is the mm's are not going to adjust the price from 37p to 44p then 50p people have to buy the stock first

Block is moving up again pre market 124.35

And TSL opened at 37p and is still 37p

Ah, if only share prices did exactly what we wanted them to do. :)

Seems pointless this stock trading if it does not track Block price and valuation

I bet you if Block drops 10% the mm's will mark this down to new lows but 123 pre market block and TSL was around 44p when it was last at that level on the downtrend.

Downing St trying to persuade Klarna to list in London not New York according to FT today. Doesn't sound like unmanageable regulation ahead.

Block Inc closed at 123

The last time it was 123 on the downtrend I think TSL was 44p bid and it's currently 36p bid, as normal I bet it does not match the recovery but it should be over 40p for sure if it's meant to be a block tracker now

SQ flying on the Nasdaq now 118 which is a lot better than 102 Friday yet TSL is still at the low of 35p bid so a little catching up to do, some buyers have cottoned on last 20 mins

Doesn't TSL have to contend with a large seller now as well?

hmm people look at the chart of SQ and think it has to bounce and maybe it will. But then look at the value $50+ billion. Take Robinhood for example that was over $50 billion in the summer and now around $10 billion so anybody shorting and staying short has been heavily rewarded. Some crazy valuations in the US market.

Short term though and SQ bounced well to close 111.85 which is a 10% off the low.

Not sure what that means for TSL perhaps 10% rally to around 38-39p then it all depends if SQ kicks on again Monday or starts to drift back again

Are you keeping track of short interest? If it's being heavily shorted, these positions will have to unwind at some point.

Edit: all I can find is some information on Yahoo which is updated every month. No appreciable change between mid-December and mid-January, that is about 9% of outstanding shares sold short.

Context needed. 9% sounds like a lot, but is it?

Another volatile session for Block/SQ on nasdaq

Hit 102 low, spiked to 111 and now 108.

Glad I do not trade US stocks, all the flashing would be seriously dangerous for the eyes. A mere 170,000 trades so far for them, it just never stops flashing trades but it is a massive stock.

More like it now. Almost flat now. From 118 down to around 102.5 and then back to 118. Insane.

And on a forward PE ratio of 67 according to Yahoo. Don't know how reliable that figure is. How can valuations become so completely unrealistic to the point that even so-called experts believe them?

Guess kinderhook is probably starting to wind down all their position. We could be in a downward spiral in the near future, with the market sentiment towards Tech and BTC. I'm now praying that BTC will be over 50k by year end. Guess it's the only way to save TSL and bring it back to a reasonable value. Kicking myself for being so greedy... should have sold at 100p

Netflix seems to have been the culprit this time, but this has only exacerbated the correction that you mentioned.

I see the chart automatically updates the live price.

118 now blimey. I took a small hit the other day, could see this coming. US valuations are crazy and if you are in a stock that depends on the price movement of a US tech stock then it's a risky game atm, the Nasdaq is having a correction and rightly so as they have been crazily valued for a year
