FutureGov, a part of The Panoply, wins UK IT Award for Best Public Sector IT Project
The Panoply Holdings PLC, the digitally native technology services Group, is delighted to announce that FutureGov's work with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster councils has been awarded 'Best Public Sector IT Project' at the UK IT Awards.
The annual UK IT Industry Awards is a prestigious event, focused on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past year. FutureGov's work with the three local authorities having been recognised in this way demonstrates the extremely high quality of the Company's work and deep expertise in the public sector, as well as highlighting the positive impact its purpose-driven projects have on people's day-to-day lives.
This award was in recognition of FutureGov's FamilyStory project. Over the last two years, FutureGov has been supporting three London boroughs to radically rethink how technology can assist with children's social care. In order to reduce the administrative burden placed on social workers and to help to increase the direct work with families, FutureGov created FamilyStory, a set of digital case management tools for social care. FamilyStory aims to increase productivity by up to 30% and improve the ability for families and social workers to collaborate by contributing to a reduction in administrative tasks, improving transparency and collaboration across stakeholders, and informing decision making for social workers.
FutureGov has been changing public sector organisations through digital transformation for over a decade, using design, technology and organisation development approaches to create public services fit for the 21st century. The Company joined The Panoply in June 2019 as the Group's largest acquisition to date.
Dominic Campbell, CEO of FutureGov commented:
"This award is testament to the hard work of the entire FutureGov team, as well as all involved in the FamilyStory project. Our aim is to transform public sector organisations and enable them to deliver the highest quality, citizen-centred services that have a lasting impact. I am delighted to see the positive change brought about by our digital transformation work in the public sector is being recognised at the highest industry level."
Neal Gandhi, CEO of The Panoply commented:
"Recognition of the FamilyStory project demonstrates what is possible when the public sector makes the bold decision to try an entirely new approach compared to working with the unchanging, monolithic providers of the past. Our opportunity now is to take FamilyStory to the 152 local authorities currently using archaic case management systems, and to help them enable social workers to obtain significant productivity gains and create better outcomes for the approximately 390,000 children in need in England alone."
