06/4/2004 09:08 | i keep buying in small lots happy to do so this is an amazing stroke of luck for this company i'd say! | henryford
06/4/2004 09:06 | i agree - i hope their legal people are making damn sure of the gmail brand. Mind you, given the size of google vs tma, surely a legal fight would be pointless for google, just buy tma's brand out - i don't know, a million or two? | scrapheap
06/4/2004 09:02 | this could be triple figures if google have to shell out for the trademark!!! bet the TMA boys are rubbing their hands with glee | henryford
06/4/2004 08:59 | wow - 15/17p. Nice to see, my buy still not reported, have to wait an hour i guess. what the nms for reporting delays here? check that - 17/18p. check that again - 17/20p. | scrapheap
06/4/2004 08:57 | thats a lot better - spread of 1p, 14/15p. on a quiet news week for the markets, i would hope the company will get a fair bit of coverage in the papers tomorrow too - especially if we can make some tasty gains today? | scrapheap
06/4/2004 08:53 | if there's going to be a fight with Google over the name 'gmail' what chance google just throws TMA a chunk of cash to buy the name off them? | scrapheap
06/4/2004 08:52 | errrrr GMAIL! Google have stated their intention to start up a free email service with a gig of space i believe. Much hype and so forth surrounding it. Google about to IPO on NASDAQ for $10 billion or so. BUT TMA OWN THE GMAIL TRADEMARK supposedly! ha ha having set up their own email service!! What a nice position to be in! Go for it boys! how much is this worth N O W?! and their EBITA positive! just 2 million market cap lol | henryford
06/4/2004 08:50 | bought some as spread has narrowed - not reported yet but got 15k at 14p | scrapheap
06/4/2004 08:35 | errrr, google! | henryford
06/4/2004 08:08 | Spread 10-15p is pants - good trading update but I can't really face such a terrible spread - guess thats why the mm's have it that way! | scrapheap
25/3/2004 00:34 | Lossman I agree with your summary. One of the main benefits of this share is that if you can get in at a reasonable price (spread nearly 40% at moment!) there is considerable scope for a large gain due to fact that only 25% of the 17mil shares can be traded, the others belonging to directors and institutions. Of course if results arent as good as forecast, they'll fall just as fast! Risky but worth it i feel. | rob67
23/3/2004 11:11 | I dipped my toe here a few weeks ago, but next time I will check the temperature of the water first. No significant additional news has been forthcoming since the 10-fold increase, but the carrot is still the threat of additional t/o enhancing contracts coming out. Just one of these and improving results will soon see this 10 times higher again, particularly due to the low mkt cap. No contracts at all will mean an amputation, and a future change of strategy. 22/3/2004 15:08 | Yep, but im considering buying at under 10p. Extremely high gearing on this stock, so it will fly on results. | rob67
22/3/2004 14:42 | Anyone seen the spread on this stock, no wonder nobody is buying it. | jeff24
15/3/2004 10:24 | Guess so, WH...er we go again but nowhere fast ;-) lol... | cableguy00

12/3/2004 05:43 | This got by us....... Pronet Analytics extends FX research service to three banks Press release 08 March 2004 - Pronet Analytics, the technical research unit of The Market Age plc, today announces that it is to extend availability of its Premium FX research service to a maximum of three banks. In early February, The Market Age, which is shortly to change its name to Independent Investment Research PLC, announced a landmark deal with a major global investment bank whereby the bank would outsource part of its short-term technical research and strategy origination to Pronet's analysis team. In a novel evolution of outsourcing, Pronet guarantees interactive, immediate access to its desk analysts for real-time response to questions like "where is the current rally likely to leave USD/JPY in the next 30 minutes?" Pronet's research dissemination platform allows all trading and sales staff in the bank, globally, to see the response simultaneously and against a back-drop of a real-time graphic picture of the technical condition of the market. Shane Smith, Group CEO, sees the benefit of the product to be three-fold. "First, our clients require timely, reliable intelligence and analysis to drive house positions as well as client advice. We are providing mainly short-term input, which most independent research firms shy away from. Second, establishing an in-house research team, plus associated technology, is prohibitively expensive, whereas our solution is very cost effective. And finally, we guarantee an element of exclusive access to the skills of our analysts by limiting the audience to three banks in total. This preserves our clients' competitive advantage." Negotiations are already underway with a second bank out of the maximum possible three, and this second deal is expected to be announced soon. In other recent developments, Pronet announced that its core service (Pronet FX) is to be distributed on Bloomberg; meanwhile Pronet has gone live at the start of March in an advisory collaboration with Forex Capital Markets LLC, the New York-based currency broker. | wholden
