SPOT PALLADIUM SOARS TO RECORD HIGH OF $3,008.10/OZ

It's odd that THS is being held back here. Rh has been very strong too.

The RH deficit for 2012 is -162k ounces and -335k ounces in 2022 according to BASF.

gsg,

do you have a good source for that deficit projection ?

What is the Rh deficit in 2021? It shocked me that the deficit would be so high for so long. One would assume the basket price remains elevated and the company throws off cash accordingly.

Not discounting the next world crisis.

Positive for THS that the Rhodium deficit is due to peak at -411k ounces in 2024 with deficit remaining at -398k ounces until 2029. THS is effectively a rhodium mining company for the mo.

I'm hoping this plays out like KMR Kenmare, which consolidated for a long period before having a rapid rise.

10-11p dividend would be pretty nice :)

A dividend of around 4.5p to 5p would be nice. At least that's what I am expecting. Followed by a final dividend in 2022 of 6p plus. I don't think that's out of the question and would certainly leave them in the 15% range that is part of their dividend strategy.

just had a little top up 2,051 @146p.

GSG, I think we would only be guessing. Nice reasons could be that they are now overweight given the share price rise. A not so nice reason could be that they could believe this is the top of the market for rhodium and PGM's in general.

Whatever their reasons it is providing a good opportunity (fingers crossed)

I'd love for the dividend to get a nice increase in May or maybe even introduce a share buy back. Only about 20 more trading days till results are out.

I'm an occasional lurker here, looking to invest in THS, but currently have a decent holding in JLP.

All looks good here. The only question I have is that there are two II's reducing their large holdings. Can anyone give a heads up as to their strategy? Are there any clues as to their intentions? Are they looking to completely clear out or have they reduced to current levels for a specific purpose? All thoughts welcome.

Also good to see these large trades dropping through. Cannot be much left in the way now. Fair value must be achieved shortly.

Well let's say, further compression on the 1.40 level. This has managed to stay the right side of the 50ma since November last year and I see no sign of it breaking down soon. So long as that trend continues, retraces will be small, but it may still pay to buy them.

I've only just bought in, but is that really what you would call a retrace? It's just dipped a few percent from the recent high

EBIT is not really driven by the market as it is a factual accounting tool so I think that every $1 increase in sales price after fixed costs are deducted and covered will make a big difference to the bottom line. I agree with you that the share price will multiply when the market gets comfortable with the metals prices medium term.
