that simple image, is telling so much

when p[rice broke down below PE record low forwards in the past -

The PE was still above SP, and could target a percentage move to it

BUT

below them again, and for the first time EVER, share price above the PE, with a new record low for it

I think such a simple thing, should be telling medium to long term holders, all they need to know....

yes trev well we are more interested in 10% in a week, such is our way

most here are longer term though, and need to ponder that deeply - because that is fund minds in action - 'the all telling'

TSCO got revised down, at a time when most other businesses were closed

ponder that one - it had a large market share and i dont just mean its own sector

Revised down ? is this due to losing a huge market share soon? And foreseen job losses/spending power etc?

ive no idea

but not good, i do know

i have not beaten funds in monetary terms obviously lol

But i have thrashed them in percentage terms yearly, x5000 fold

And no fancy speel required to do that, or a show of intellect required

Lots of fundamental stuff, i can add

but i rarely talk about fundamentals, as it is sooo subjective. Everyone will have their views so i prefer to put fundamentals into price terms

in trems of forwards, TSCO has not really been a long term target for funds on that score

2018 , they sold it out, and since then ? been all about interim/yearly book value support

Yearly book value support was taken out friday, and for the first time in a long time, PE forward is now adjusted down under SP

Lots for bulls to consider here

i would put a dose of realism on expectations, in terms of longer term holding - the funds did in 2018

Which makes me think, a price drop into results, and then only beating expectation stops that share price move

Anyway see monday - all spec until market calls here

sentiment riles

10:22
What that means is, if it goes bull monday, be realistic with targets

all fund/institutional markers are revised down

Now the problem there is, EPS forwards are part of the PE forward calculations

So, EPS forwards were the target re higher price, for you guys i guess

But with PE forward adjusted down 26.5% to circa 214, where does that mean the EPS forwards are?

Know what i mean?

2020 2 year forward has been hit and booked out twice, last time being december circa 260

adjusted down now

And 1-5 year forwards all have, i think - not sure about 5 year - need to look

Lets bring some fundamentals into it - key ones. Well, key because they cause a lot of action in a stock in a year on adjustments, and interims too

in intra data terms, its negative. But as you know, whilst pviots are only part of reading market at x prices, they are the places for the most part, to alert and consider market at that time re reverse or continue, and indeed, if reversal is smart money or just donkey's and can still hold etc

Well, lots of cash going in, but then lots happy to cash out too, whom took div cash and , i think, have sold stock

If just look at it in simple price terms, friday was a day of no buy/short winners - it was not defining.

[...]

Thats just in simple share price terms

When you start to drill down though - it looks to me like the sellers will outweigh the buyers moving forward, for a bit. Friday did bring a couple of questions, but - not money that makes a shorter exit

Monday the call. if it opens flat or up, and then mid trades below 223.8, id be out as a holder

Yet if it opens down, that could indeed be bullish, and as a buyer, i woulds wait to be seeing how day looks later on

............

Dont confuse this with day trading. if i was asked to time in a 3 year investment, id still be looking for that perfect moment to do so - ad try only be in the red hours rather than days weeks months

Monday is that day..

A lot of cash going back into the stock though SR from that huge dividend don’t you think that makes a difference!

Monday is a big day. Bigger than most realise. We will find out who the true winners of the Friday battle are, and that should be the pointer for at least a few weeks . Would expect whatever direction market gives, will be a very strong-move, so. I won’t be here in short position above 230 . Assured. I’d give the price I wouldn’t be holding buy too but no point really, because we view time differently .

Now then SR see your still as vocal as ever, lol now I could have acted like a gerbil here but last week I bought Tesco at 2.22. My thought was with the drop the consolidation and the cash that was going to hit the stock it would be a good bet.I expected a rise and retest of my buy in maybe but not to go much lower now you have made me question that. I understand about drop being the same and more as the dividend but isn’t this a slightly different case and the drop normally should have already happened from XD day surely this should start to get supported by all that cash at some point even if the indicators have a screaming sell, regards.
