Pity they can’t do the same with milk, which would normally have gone to coffee shops etc., and which dairy farmers are now pouring down the drain.

Don't get too excited by the 51p dividend. As the selling of the Asian business will reduce the Market Cap and the share price will go down accordingly, in the region of 51p

The deal has not been finalised or voted on yet. From memory, it should - other things not getting in the way - be in the autumn.

One of my local Tesco stores is very impressive. Queue system well organised and aisles well laid out with arrows, staff all helpful and now the online slots have returned.

I'm very positive for tesco. They have lead by example and continue to keep standards as high as ever.

I was done some shopping in Aldi last week, chicken was stinking despite being 5 days within sell by date and the veg was rotten within 1 day. When I called for a refund they told me i had to go back into the store for a refund. Totally unacceptable. Tesco are keeping the vast majority of customers very happy and i think the respect they used to have from the public is slowly returning.

I'm very fortunate vaneric1, Tesco opened their new superstore in my town about 6 years ago, part of the deal was that the built an underground car park for the use of the town also, parking is free up to 2 hours, and when you come from the car park via escalator or Lift you arrive to a covered area with other shops.

Same here royaloak, shopped for two households, in and out very quickly and got everything I went for, shame about the rain.

I'm going to petition for covered car parks next. :-)

Do not hold shares here at the moment, normally shop at Tesco, Aldi and Lidl. Since the lockdown have only shopped at our Tesco Superstore, feel much safer, large wide aisles, well organised system for queuing and inside the store, full marks for them. Did my weekly shop this morning 10am, did not have to queue, but quite a few in store when I left.

The article refers to protecting customers at the beginning and then goes on to say protecting staff...and then states its for staff and is optional ...take note though this is the Daily Express who are reporting it
