27/4/2018 13:12 | Loganair - did you bother reading the Tupperware article?? It's about a 'major crackdown on plastic waste', which I think is a good thing. Didn't see anything in this article about making more money for the grocers.... | toon1966
27/4/2018 12:47 | Lade - I know somebody who has many cameras around their house and when at home on their big flat TV watch the feed from these cameras rather than watching actual programmes. | loganair
27/4/2018 12:26 | It's strange for such a supposedly technologically advanced nation, we seem to be moving backwards at a great rate of noughts. Of course, if you want to watch live pictures of your empty Living Room while your at your work, then you can do that no problem. Progress ? Don't make me laugh............ | ladeside
27/4/2018 12:17 | What is really going on, the customer pays for there own tupperware to put their meat and fish in which will save the supermarkets a few bob. The customers will need to buy more tupperware containers from the supermarkets, more money for the supermarkets. Also is will me the customers responsibility to make sure their tupperware is hygienic and how many customers know that one isn't supposed to use the container one day for fresh fish and the next day for fresh meat as the supermarket butcher and fishmonger will be Food Hygiene qualified. | loganair
27/4/2018 00:41 | 'Bring tupperware to the supermarket to cut plastic waste', shoppers told Shoppers will soon be urged to take tupperware to the supermarket, as part of a major crackdown on plastic waste. For the first time next month Morrison's will offer customers the option to have raw meat and fish weighed at the counter and then placed into their own containers, mitigating the need for plastic bags. Fishmongers and butchers will then place a sticky label on customers' boxes so they can take them to the till to be scanned. Tesco is also trialing the same scheme across five stores from next month, with the hope of eventually rolling it out nationally. | philanderer

16/4/2018 16:15 | Broker "forecasts" might reasonably be expected to be an anticipation of future events. Many seem to revise their predicted future prices close to the level already achieved and somehow believe that passes for a worthwhile insight. I suspect there is no predictive value to their forecasts. | scotches |
