29/12/2017 17:45 | buywell, your comment about customer care and Amazon is in my experience nonsense, My daughter bought me a slow cooker, they delivered two one of which had a greetings card to people I don't know, I reported it to them, they told me it was delivered to me so it 'must' be mine, I insisted it could not be and would they collect it and deliver it to the correct recipient, they declined , told me to keep it or bin it. Somebody went without their gift and Amazon didn't give a damn. | vaneric1

29/12/2017 15:12 | Now Lidl is blamed by families for ruining Christmas with 'off' turkeys Turkeys from Tesco, Lidl and Aldi have all been blamed of being 'off' Supermarket giants such as Tesco, Lidl and Aldi have all been blamed for providing bad meat. Tesco has started refunding and compensating customers while Aldi and Lidl are yet to comment. The Food Standards Agency said: “Tesco have confirmed that they are investigating the complaints they have received about turkeys on a case-by-case basis. It's been revealed one of the main reasons for the turkeys being off was because the birds hadn’t been gutted properly, so even being in the fridge they would still decomposed quickly causing the rotting smell. | loganair
29/12/2017 12:10 | Have to laugh at the turkey complaints, people buy Turkeys to big to put in the fridge, leave them out for days on end, then complain they are off.......Especially the one who said it was her first time making Christmas dinner, but made the gravy from the turkey too, so the whole dinner was ruined....was making sure no wiggle room on the compo claim.... | hippo

27/12/2017 13:41 | Sorry to break this to you guys, but the personal preference on the Tesco "meal deals" of a few free chatboard posters won't exactly have a huge effect on the share price of a multinational Blue Chip company such as Tesco. sales across the board are on the up, the Bank is going great guns with awards coming thick and fast in their Banking and insurance range of products and the overseas arms are also thriving. Tabloid stories of a few wasted Christmas dinners in the UK is quite frankly not even worth discussing.......... | ladeside

27/12/2017 10:36 | blue - I do not throw away perfectly good food as it tastes so horrible that it is virtually inedible is why I have stopped buying Tesco Finest, even their normal range of foods seems to have an unpalatable taste to it. Once the food is opened and cooked, how can it then be given away.....if it tastes horrible then I have little choice but to throw it away. If given a choice I much prefer the M&S meal deal. The only reason we now pop into my local Tesco is because it is on the way home from school and my kids pop in for the buy 3 chocs for £1.20 deal. | loganair
27/12/2017 10:31 | Me thinks you are Short Tesco Orient. Yes? | blue sky territory
27/12/2017 10:24 | Nathdani..i can assure you on both cases it was not customer error. This is going to be a lot bigger than you expect...my sister took her Turkey back boxing day as you could smell it had gone off as you opened the fridge door. Lady on the desk..said oh no not another one and couldn't apologise enough | 0rient
27/12/2017 10:19 | loganair 27 Dec '17 - 10:11 - 21225 of 21227 I've noticed at our local Tesco the £10 meal deal is always made up from the Finest collection that they've been unable to sell separately. I've also notice at the end of the day how much of the £10 meal deal is still left unsold. My whole family think that Sainsburys Taste the Difference range is much tastier than Tesco Finest. Last time I bought Tesco Finest, it tasted so horrible that it was just thrown away. The food hadn't gone off or anything, it's just on the whole Tesco Finest range is horrible to the taste. So you throw perfectly good food away do you?? Then brag about it on public forums?? Not the sort of "consumer" anyone would want in their shop. Next time you feel the urge to throw food away, contact the charity The Felix Project first, please loganair.. | blue sky territory |
