28/2/2017 09:58 | booker deal is bad news will take over 18 years just to get back to square one | portside1
28/2/2017 09:55 | The Booker deal should give Tesco a large boost in the smaller outlets. | jacko41
28/2/2017 09:47 | Stock option plans have a strike price. (Exception some LTIPs in the past). If I award you 1m shares at 400p, sounds good but may be a big zero. | alphorn
28/2/2017 09:24 | get rid of the failure and put me in charge the share price would be near 300p in months | portside1
28/2/2017 09:23 | the remuneration committee gave out millions of bonuses on recovery what recovery Tesco since September 1st the day lewis came the share price down 65p yes 65p down from 252p now 187p what a great performance | portside1
28/2/2017 09:20 | alp millions of free share were award over the last two years for recovery of company but it was all lies Tesco is being ripped apart by a clown . the silent killer . Tesco under lewis is now down since he was ceo down over 26% and still falling the silence and destruction of employees while the silent directors getting millions lewis must be removed he is a clown | portside1
27/2/2017 23:19 | Which free share option schemes are those? (LTIPs)? | alphorn
27/2/2017 23:16 | Ban the so called free share options from the board level across the Plc casino club...Fixed salary plus expenses & bonus only on performance.... | diku
27/2/2017 23:05 | More people employed but at lower wages. Seems to be the way of the world. Unlikely to see lower 'wages' for the board members though. | kiwi2007
27/2/2017 22:27 | Maybe just too many chiefs at board level!... | diku
27/2/2017 18:00 | I read that report earlier John but it doesn't appear to be cost cutting, just taking a different position with the same amount of money spent on extra, more useful staff. The old saying too many Chiefs and not enough Indians comes to mind. | vaneric1
27/2/2017 17:18 | Cutting costs is exactly the same as boosting profits, so thankfully the director's bonuses will be safe and I'm sure we'll see a few of them in the new years honours list next time around....... Supermarket giant Tesco has announced a restructure of its convenience stores which could see deputy managers demoted. | johnwise
27/2/2017 16:53 | You have hit the mark I think. Oxford Dictionary Definition of croissant in English: croissant noun A French crescent-shaped roll made of sweet flaky yeast dough, eaten for breakfast. Example sentence Origin Late 19th century: French (see crescent). The term had occasionally been recorded earlier as a variant of crescent. | jacko41
27/2/2017 16:22 | Not sure how the straight bit works, I always thought croissant translated as crescent. Straight bananas anyone? :-) | vaneric1
27/2/2017 15:41 | Good decision for me re croissant's , I have found a big general improvement in the Bakery section of my local store. Still have to go to Sainsbury's for the family's jam doughnuts though, which puts Tesco's one's to shame. | jacko41
27/2/2017 15:31 | Why all the negative posts? It's just a dip. | jacko41
27/2/2017 14:57 | VAN now switching off Tesco till the results then the agm good luck to you all the best you seem a very honest poster | portside1
27/2/2017 14:52 | BIG INVESTORS ALWAYS HAVE INFO THEY ALSO HAVE MEETINGS WITH THE COMPANY FACT why have the board of Tesco not clawed back the bonuses on false lies and figures several bank employees have now had bonuses and pension pots withdrawn if what you say is fact then if a was a director tell lies make up figs and then take the cash then resign. simple is it not | portside1
27/2/2017 14:44 | I've followed shares where the directors are constantly talking to the various bulletin boards and newspapers etc. but they are often just talking it up without any substance, I'd much rather that they only post news when there rally is news as seems to be the case here. I think you're completely wrong saying that nobody invests because the directors are silent, investors, especially the big boys, invest on fundamentals not gossip. As for penalising the former directors I'd guess that is a problem of legalities and if the authorities should come to the stage of prosecuting and a finding of guilt then will be the time to claim back any payments made in the past, that too doesn't come for free so there will be legal costs. | vaneric1
27/2/2017 13:53 | you can not invest in any company on no info and lewis has given non for 31 months that is fact he uses the dreaded word , encouraged . that word means we have not got a clue YOU CAN NOT INVEST IN A COMPANY WERE THE DIRECTORS ARE DEAF AND BLIND DIRECTORS WILL SAY NOTHING LOWER THE share price MORE FREE SHARES THATS WHY THEY ARE SILENT | portside1
27/2/2017 13:50 | van yes you point out the facts . so why has no money been clawed back and pension pots withdrawn fro prev directors . on april 12th results profit 1.3b but will say again silence destroys a share | portside1
27/2/2017 13:45 | Look at the dates and what was happening, the shares were in freefall five years of bad news topped off with the profit figures scandal when he came on board that has been arrested, it's now hovering while the traders play, waiting for the next news. As for the directors buying, if they did and they made a bit of dosh on the ups and downs you would be shouting "Insider dealing" Please stop saying 'is' when you mean 'his' it makes for difficult reading. | vaneric1
27/2/2017 13:33 | lewis is a dud | portside1
27/2/2017 13:32 | you mean they have no faith in what they do . but like free shares just have to wait for agm and ask questions on certain issues of figs | portside1 |
