For any new faces popping in, the reason for all the excitement is that on Wednesday a webinar presented jointly by Device Authority (in which Tern has a 56% stake) and Microsoft revealed that Microsoft Azure cannot secure and device manage at IoT scale and that they use DA's KeyScaler to do this vital task.

Or, put simply, Microsoft bluntly stated that they need DA. No ambiguity.

This follows on from similar webinars between DA and Intel, Thales and Sectigo.

We pretty much knew how vital KeyScaler was but it was a special treat to hear the Microsoft man say so.

Oh, and they have other exciting joint products in the pipeline.

Assume 5bn IoT at MS + 0.9bn at Intel

Say 3% of that per quarter for DA (for chip authentication, SDO onboarding (incl. retroactive, device management, certificate management, credentials management & scalability of the IoT solutions)

3% x 5.9bn x 4/year = $0.708bn/year. Profit/sales ratio of 4 = $2.832bn mkt cap for DA (based on 2 majors). say 47% (after directors slice) of which (instead of 57%) for tern = mkt cap value for other shareholders of $1.3310 (or £1.0382bn = £1038.2m)

so approx £5.77/share at tern

just playing with figures .....

In fact, not one person here has been able to state where Microsoft said they 'need device Authority or keyscalar'

The Systems Integrators are the guys who will deliver the acceleration in revenues. DA have already partnered with a number of the mid range SI's but there are a host of large SI's that have attended multiple webinars. I doubt they're doing so just for the fun of it. Looking at their respective annual revenues gives you a feel for their size and reach. Annual revenues of those who have already been announced as partners. Wipro $8 billion, Tech Mahindra $5 billion, Infosys $12 billion, Cognizant $14 billion. Annual Revenues of those who have been attending multiple webinars and may possibly become partners. Tata $21 billion, Hitachi $10 billion, DXC Technology $21 billion, HCL $9 billion, Accenture $42 billion, Deloitte $46 billion. Cap Gemini at $14 billion is the only one that hasn't attended webinars.

I don't normally pay much attention to Microsoft results but will be reading next weeks with interest to see what they say about growing iot revenues and if they foresee any problems in scaling this side of the business.

We know Intel IoT revenues are flying in as both businesses increase their exposure to this side of a booming market.

Over 20p soon and will be rightfully earned and deserved.
You don't jointly launch products with Microsoft and remain on a low rating.
Just wait until the chq book comes out!
