I remember last year Microsoft throwing $5bn at IoT

If their intention is to have 30% of their earnings due to IoT, see article below, then that would come in at $10bn a quarter at Microsoft. Per quarter!

Aug 4 2018

The adoption of Internet of Things is growing rapidly such that IoT decision makers believe 30% of their company’s revenue two years from now will be due to this technology, a report from Microsoft shows.

on Apr 24 2019

Microsoft:
Quarterly revenue of $30.6 billion (up 14 percent from the year-ago quarter)

Microsoft Azure had a pretty good quarter, with revenue growing 73 percent..

It'll take a brave company to ignore security.
Unless they fancy paying hefty GDPR fines and a huge loss of reputation.

Do not forget our other great portfolio company. I think we'll get a revaluation event there very soon. @FundamentalVRVery proud of our Chief Experience Officer, Seb Canniff, talking at #AWE2019 on the significance of HapticVR and how our education platform is changing the way surgeons train. #wearefundamental

an app it may be and yes not many maybe buying it now, but if as is alluded to MS can't do the at scale bit then the very large iot industry users of the future won't be ignoring security. They will need it. Iot is just getting going its been a lot slower than expected but the roll out of 5G is now with us and this is critical to things like connected cars.

Mike, I'm in Valencia at the moment. Bit of sun before winter. Unfortunately my lists are on my computer at home. From memory Accenture, HCL and Tata were there from the Systems Integrators. And our SI partners Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Cognizant were also there. Most medium to large enterprises will go directly to the SI's. ARM were in attendance as were McLaren. Orange and Verizon were on the list. There were about 120 attendees excluding UK people who I discount because many are possibly pi's. I'll issue later in the weekend.

Microsoft man saying they're working on many things and Keyscaler allows them to do it at scale.

Watch this space as Microsoft man said he can't spill the beans just yet but new products and solutions are incoming soon and when asked what else their solutions and products can be applied to he said the list is vast!

Look forwards to those reporting later who had a better listen but I also believe the Microsoft man say he is "very excited"

WTF? Microsoft is very excited to be working with DA! Add another few pounds please!!

As said before, it's like Ronaldo playing for my 10 year olds Sunday football team but this Microsoft/DA thing is actually very very real and all happening in real time now!!

Ok

A placing will not be necessary with iminent cooperate activity making TERN cash rich.

For the newbies, TERN has no debt.

As Sisto mentioned, if a fantastic opportunity arises in the very short term before corporate activity then a placing will be appropriate for TERNs business model and "value creation"

Many many pounds not pence.

Shortly before the webinar someone posted a list of some of the attendees. There were some big names. Anyone got the full list to show that it wasn't just DA and Microsoft having a chat? Tyrano? Those companies are the ones DA and Microsoft were aiming at to create a secure marketable IoT strategy.Cheers JM

Amazing the amount of 'experts' that appear when they haven't listened to the webinar or even have a clue what DA, FVR, INVMA or Wyld are about.
