19/11/2013 18:29 | breakdown to downside on your pennant ? | stockologist
19/11/2013 10:05 | I imagine TEG are disappointed that Re-Food get permission at Dagenham 13th November 2013 | giant steps
13/11/2013 10:25 | TEG chart reminder | giant steps
13/11/2013 09:37 | Not so bizarre really - just ample evidence that he's only interested in seeing the share price fall rather than investing in the long term in a solid growth area business. | spaceparallax
13/11/2013 09:18 | I'm assuming the down votes on the last four posts are from stocky, bizarre behaviour especially for #1482. O/T He clearly doesn't like folk mentioning the massive contingent liabs for CCE ! | giant steps
12/11/2013 21:15 | Good posts GS | spaceparallax
12/11/2013 16:16 | Making the right noises ... 6th November 2013 Another Busy Year for TEG * New Dagenham Plant in commission * Todmorden plant extended in response to demand * Three new contract wins for open windrow sites * Two further Scottish contract wins | giant steps
12/11/2013 10:56 | It's great to see that Barking and Dagenham are the most energy efficient local authority in UK, and with TEG in place will probably keep the top position ! ( and helps to put TEG on the radar for other local authorities ) TEG need to start working for the other 32 boroughs of London ! 4th November 2013 | giant steps
12/11/2013 07:51 | I will certainly need to take a look at PHE in the coming years, but at this stage it sounds as if they have not yet reached commercialisation, and have no revenue stream. In the meantime TEG are well established with proven technology; this is supported by the fact they won the prestigious FIRST anaerobic digestor installation for London, with operations about to commence. I'm liking TEG over CCE for many reasons, but especially because we don't have massive contingent liabilities. CCE were loss making at the H1 2013 stage to nearly 50% of revenue - and that doesn't look good imo (no advice intended). | giant steps
11/11/2013 19:25 | They could get their jam tomorrow eaten by PHE | stockologist
11/11/2013 15:53 | and would be were it not for GMA bullying | spaceparallax
11/11/2013 15:51 | Giant, no doubt about the market potential/size, it's can TEG make a decent profit. They should be doing so already! | waterloo01
11/11/2013 15:46 | Thanks visionon. I think one needs to realise that the marginal aspect to TEG could well be a leveraged aspect as landfill costs increase and the requirement grows for food waste to find an alternative home. Seems as though TEG are well positioned to accommodate. UK looks for saving £17bn, may be a nice slice for junior TEG Vision 2020 zero food waste to landfill report launched | giant steps
11/11/2013 14:50 | I have no doubts that TEG will make it work in the UK. They're just typical of a young company fighting through the early years to achieve profitability - they're almost there despite the GMA problems. | spaceparallax
11/11/2013 13:44 | Just doesn't have the scale economics to make it work in the UK I suspect. That is the beauty of CCE's biogas business in the US they get funding and support from Government to convert dairy farms onto methane digesters. | stockologist
11/11/2013 13:40 | waterloo01. At least we are having more luck with SUMM.... | visionon
11/11/2013 09:22 | Visionon, with you on that. Well under water and while the market cap when this was in the 50ps was, in retrospect, over valued, the current cap is much more realistic/undervalue I hope they have now at least got a handle on what's profitable and build the business in a sustainable way. If they do that, the share price will slowly follow. I often thought a take over was in the background, but can't see much evidence of it at present, but times and flavours do change! | waterloo01
11/11/2013 09:13 | Giant Steps. thanks for reinvigorating the BB. it's been very quiet on TEG across the various boards that I look at. I have been a holder here for a few years and am still well under water. TEG's continuous failure to sort out Manchester (and I suspect a one-sided contract maybe partly to blame)is a real drag but presumably soonish (say 6mths) the loans can be repaid and there will be a small lift in the share price AD looks promising but my main concern is that gross margins on TEG's core business are not high and I seem to recall that an 85% capacity is required just to break even. I might have misunderstood that. Instinctively I feel that the mcap should be more like £20m but if a company turning over c£25m still makes a loss of c£1.5m it's hardly attractive and we know for instance that Pennon had to write down their waste division assets. I will hold for Manchester outcome and probably therefore also finals plus Gaydon news. But i do wonder whether this is really the growth story that I had thought it would be. My average is about 22p so I'm not holding my breath for that, although 10p I could see in maybe 12mths time if they can break even. Then someone might also want to buy them to reduce competition... Any thoughts on mcap ? | visionon
08/11/2013 11:40 | Stocky, indeed a share price can make movements up and down A break to the downside would make the investment case even more compelling. (no advice intended) Awaiting an update on Dagenham, a useful flagship example. edit : 5yr chart | giant steps
08/11/2013 11:28 | Excellent digging Giant. Keep it coming. Yes re-rating does look a real possibility. They do look seriously undervalued @ the moment but of course I would say that as I`ve got far too many. Although I`m tempted to dip in again. The only way is up... imo | alfieduncan
08/11/2013 11:23 | Could break to the downside of course | stockologist
08/11/2013 11:14 | TEG chart reminder | giant steps
08/11/2013 10:12 | SP, with increasing landfill charges the composting side should make the marginal side more interesting i.e. sustained profits. On the AD it's great to see us win and commence the Dagenham project. It's been a slow run but with multiple sites the risk is well diversified. A re-rating is overdue imo | giant steps
08/11/2013 09:47 | Cheers GS - good, positive reading. Secret now is to gradually beaver away within their means to gradually break even and then steadily build profitability. This is such a relevant industry now and for decades to come. | spaceparallax
07/11/2013 07:54 | Nice summary for TEG 6th November 2013 | giant steps |
