What killed this was the daily mail article which caused the company to release the dreaded no reason rns. I still think the drop is overdone and have about 15 grand ( tied up, to be truthful) in this. As i've said before they were 3p in July before the Brazil news and they have 60 mill vgm shares which could be used to raise funds if needed. If i was them i would wait to sell those shares until vgm are valued higher after good results today. Over the last 2 months all my shares mostly aim are down, i think it's a patience thing again.

Good luck mate.

ah OK, I thought that was what you meant! Yes I agree this is cheap, however I'm a little concerned about the cash resources and how we will fund the drilling going forwards. Something I would have liked answering at the AGM to be honest!
All we need is some updates on how things are going, the news flow here is quite poor.

Usually get an rns saying all motions passed. Still think this is very cheap.

Templer will now seriously benefit from VGM. I think their (Templer) investment in VGM is off the general radar

From the RNS 24/09/09

'The Company continues to maintain a holding of 60.125 million shares in VGM..'

At one point they had 285 million....be nice to still have that many, but a free ride on 60 million is still not bad.

Exactly how much in GBP do they own in VGM?

Remember this co owns a chunk of Vatukoula gold mines. VGM are about to update us any day with news on production which will increase TMP value accordingly.

I would think they will inform the market when they have the full results of the said "anomaly" in due course but slow and steady until then is good. It is very difficult to gauge buys and sells as the spread is 1.0 sell - 1.0 buy, some what annoying.

sampster, i also noted the word 'anomaly' in that rns, hoping it will be a positive twist in the tale.

I don't know if there will be an update before the AGM, would be nice if there was, but to be honest they have expained most of the facts and figures in the last Brazil update, and i can't see anything that would require them to put out an update before the end of the year.

Slowly and surely seems to be the way this Co will progress.

I find this bit from the September RNS ver interesting:
Three surface samples also showed enrichment in silver, cobalt, copper and zinc with one sample FRP144 reporting 14.8 parts per million (grams per tonne) of Silver, 0.3% Cobalt, 0.08% Copper and 0.09% Zinc. Further work is planned in this area to ascertain the significance of this anomaly.

Notice the word anomaly and the definition being: An anomaly is any occurrence or object that is strange, unusual, or unique. It can also mean a discrepancy or deviation from an established rule or trend.

So with this and all the other information in the RNS i am sure it is what we are all hoping for. Good Luck

I hold mainly aim stocks for my sin's, it's stressfull and corrupt but as we have seen with RRL today and other stocks duirng this year like pxs, ntog and Led one piece of good news can see huge rises especially if you get in early. What i like about these are they are not relying on a drill bit looking for oil, they know the resource is there it's just proving how much. It's unfortunate what happened in Georgia with the goldmine but i think the board mentioned pursuing other oppotunities in the interims so this should be made clear at the AGM. The only danger with these stocks are large fundraising's through placings, i hope TMP can tie up a jv with someone to avoid this if the resource is as big as i'm hoping.

Good luck

Those are my thought exactly wattzy. We seemed to have been caught out by the no reason rns coupled with the fact that most aim stocks have taken a beating of during this time so this has been well overplayed. So many other stocks oversold and like this one i feel after today we could well have seen the end of this retrace with aim stocks. My friends portfolio of 25 aim stocks are down almost 45% acrooss the board in the last month. Brazil update would see this fly imo but hope for a steady increase due to the AGM.

I would hope for some kind of update before the AGM, the drop since July seems well overdone to me especially as it has contained good news from Brazil since that time.

A preliminary drilling program has been carried out through late June and July 2009. A number of significant intercepts have already been recorded, with drill hole Number 8 at the Corral da Estrada prospect intersecting a 6 metre interval between 16 metres and 22 metres of hematite-rich sediment . Two further holes at the Perfis prospect, Numbers 4 and 7 have also intersected intervals of hematite-rich sediments. Hole Number 4 has intersected an 8 metre interval between 42 metres and 50 metres and hole Number 7 intersected a 17 metre interval, from 1.5 metres to 18.5 metres, of hematite-rich units. Drilling will continue based on the positive results to date.

Drilling to date has indicated that the iron rich mineralization sits within a structurally complex environment and significant faulting is evident in the areas drilled and appears to be disrupting some of the continuity of the hematite-rich sediments. It is considered that the objective of additional work is to determine the distribution of the iron-rich sediments and to clarify the structural situation.
Just a few bits from the last rns from 28th Sep. Work is still commencing.
