I have been looking closer at the shares in public hands & it would seem the mm's are in short supply, i was sure the mm's were trying to give the impression shares were 2 a penny here but that appears not to be. Here are the holders:
Chiropo Company Sa 57,500,000 9.86
Saltwind Enterprises Ltd 50,000,000 8.57
Marsden Resources Ltd 50,000,000 8.57
Angstrom Capital 33,500,000 5.74
CIM Investment Management Ltd 29,500,000 5.05
Cadrela Malta Ltd 25,000,000 4.28
Gatward Ltd 23,750,000 4.07
Pershing Nominees Ltd 21,981,000 3.77
Pershing Nominees Ltd 20,105,000 3.44
Societe Privee de Gestion de Patrimoine 18,250,000 3.13
Pictet & Cie 17,500,000 3.00
Shares left in public hands:
256,069,000
Take into account the busiest day of trading on the 26.10.09 Shares traded 98,883,868 & 02.12.09 Shares traded 10,427,362. I guess as these were bought on days like the 26th Oct where we were expecting the India rns from media reports as far as i remember and the 2nd Dec was a good buying day pushing the price higher. My take is the mm's are short of stock and playing this down by restricting both buys and sells. Well thats my research but please dyor.

Sampster.

How up to date is the web-site?, I seem to remember them reducing their holding in VGM not so long ago.

Surely if the AGM is expected around Dec 20 shareholders would have been notified by now, after all it's only two weeks away, although it would be nice to get a Brazil update by the end of the year.

Just checked out the TMP site and the link states they have a 4.47% holding in VGM.
Investment in Fiji
Templar maintains a 4.47% holding in Vatukoula Gold Mines plc (VGM)

The major asset of VGM is the Vatukoula Gold Mine in Fiji.

AGM coming up very soon, approx date given for this is 20th Dec so does anyone else think TMP will give a Brazil update before the AGM? Luckyvince as for post 106 it's simples, just phone TMP & ask. I would be interested to know if we can validate the claim.

Luckyvince - have to say my radar is going off about post 106 too. In the main, telling them about new projects outside of an RNS does seem strange. I'll sit on the sidelines for a bit longer i think

I joined unfortunately at 1.85, but have been averaging down at this price. Just a waiting game but Brazil looks like a good asset in a recovering economy.

Which shares do you actively buy and comment on in a positive manner? I have seen plenty of negative comments on boards but no positive ones? Without a positive and negative balance nobody listens to anything you post as you appear like a serial deramper!

China, 'Prisoner of Success,' Facing Ore Price Gain

Oct. 30 (Bloomberg) -- China's biggest adversary in this year's iron ore price talks is China.

"The nation's 4 trillion yuan ($586 billion) stimulus package has sparked record imports of the steelmaking material and prices may jump 14 percent next year to the second-highest on record, according to a Bloomberg News survey of analysts......"Iron ore prices may rise 25 percent next year because the recovering global economy is helping boost steel output from Japan and South Korea, as well as because of sustained demand from China," said Helen Lau, a Hong Kong-based analyst at OSK Securities Hong Kong Ltd".

Have to admit I was caught out with TMP by these p&d's Mainly cos I was cons investing & when I saw the rise I thought mustn't lose out & need less to say have been well & truly stuffed having bought in @ 1.88 Now have a long term hold in my bag AGAIN. Have to admit I am expecting great things but it is worrying when one of the main holders drops its holding from over 10% to under 3! Of course one must consider who the buyer is I cannot beliene that it is all PIs. Unless of course there are a number of others who have also been sitting on the fece!?

Well, I hope anyone who happened upon this board in the last few days has taken this as a chance to add a string of users (the illegal share tipper/ramper types) to their blocked thread/filter list. There are at least ten people you simply would not want posting in your discussions here.
