17/8/2005 10:31 | Steve57 Do not think so it goes ex at start of play on 17 August. Thats why you can now purchase the shares for 60p. Check before you purchase ask the broker. IMHO DYOR | acamas

07/6/2005 11:37 | Can anyone tell me what Fees the brokers will be paid for the disposal? | saddam bin laden
02/6/2005 21:14 | Balance sheet will look weak if 60p per share is given back, but even so the share price may not drop back to 56p afterwards. Thats the gamble of buying now - paying 116p and getting 60p back - although when this will happen is another question - and knowing what the share price is afterwards and knowing what profit to expect afterwards as well - presumably it will less if they have sold part of the business. | guru11
02/6/2005 02:50 | Leaving debt on the balance sheet is more tax efficient than getting rid of all debt. Checkout the utilites companies that geared up to return money to shareholders via special divis. | yf23_1
01/6/2005 22:56 | marvelman, Surely if the group balance sheet is in such a poor state and there's a chance they could go under, no Financial Director would agree to paying a special dividend equating to nearly 65% of the sale proceeds! WMT Ltd is taking on £2.7Million in dept liabilities as part of the disposal of the London Operations, most of which is probably due to the hire purchase of new vehicles for Transport for London contracts... Steve Telling & TGM are both well respected in the bus industry! Taken from the Disposal RNS: " The balance of the proceeds of Disposal will be retained by the Company and will be used to repay bank indebtedness and provide additional working capital for expansion of the Group's interests " Unfortunately I bought in @ 125p back in early March, I bought on the hope that National Express would make an offer for TGM's London operation as I knew National Express were looking to increase the size of there Travel London subsiduary... I was right on that count! however I had hoped the share price may have hit the 170 - 180p mark as it did previously with the speculation about Nat Exp sniffing round, Paul | winston270
01/6/2005 20:42 | Guru I believe they have given 10 million too much back to the sharehalders.A miscalculation that will come back to haunt them.Jumped in this morning before looking at the balance sheet as I thought the deal was fantastic.Sold out at loss when I looked at the balance sheet and couldnt believe the turnaround since the previous set of accounts.I believe they were on borrowed time without that deal and still think they are even with it. Regards | marvelman
01/6/2005 20:32 | I've seen this situation before with companies returning money back to shareholders, and in most cases the share price rarely goes back from the share price currently minus the give back 116p less 60p = 56p - but will it go back to that price? nCiper I believe was one and I missed that one, believe the price rose higher in the end to the original share price. Still a gamble though. Haven't looked at the balance sheet though. | guru11
01/6/2005 18:18 | Paul Take a look at the newly published balance sheet. They were in debt up to their eyeballs...16 million worth. If they are as stated giving 14 million back to the sharehalders the 20 million they get fom the disposal will be swallowed up and they will still be 10 million in debt.Stay well away (unless I am missing something).Happy to be corrected. Regards | marvelman
01/6/2005 17:42 | Has anyone got any idea on where TGM's share price could be after the disposal of the London Bus operations is completed and the special dividend has been paid? Could the remainder of the current business, plus the £7.2million cash retained from the disposal leave the share price languishing around the 55-60p level? However there have been some sizable buys going through most of the day!!! Anyone any thoughts....!?! cheers, Paul | winston270
26/4/2005 22:25 | RNS out detailing results date | yf23_1
09/3/2005 17:32 | Has anyone got any idea when TGM's full year results will be announced to the market? | winston270
29/9/2004 08:22 | Following the interim results, I've decided my money's better invested elsewhere. I'll maybe look to get in again after TGM show they can generate increased profits from integration. This is a really illiquid stock. One sell of just 6,000 shares dropped the price by 5p - crazy!! | mad mike
22/9/2004 12:49 | +5p, spread widening 145/155 Anybody got L2 ? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease !!! | yf23_1 |
