Thanks for the reply deej4y. I know IMSs became optional a couple of years ago but most companies at least give some sort of statement at the AGM and TEP did last year so I thought it was a bit odd.

Looking closer at the Opus holding. TEP has 20% of the shares which are in the Balance Sheet at £11.6 million , which is way below the real value. Last year TEPs share was £5.6M down from £6.0M the previous year , but they say they are expecting a strong result in the current year. Results are bound to fluctuate with energy prices and the drop was attributed to withdrawal of Government subsidies . So it looks realistic to expect at least £5.6M this year. The £5.6M contribution suggests that the TEP holding may be worth 12/15 times that amount , or £67M to £84M against the current valuation in TEP books of 11.6M. So it would be a significant boost to their cash position and maybe even a special dividend. Please DYOR GAN

Interesting RNS today re Opus Energy - part owned by TEP and having a "strategic Review". This often means Opus are thinking of selling or have had an approach to sell. TEP say they are not intending to increase their holding , which sounds like a broad hint that they would be willing to sell. Could be a nice gain for TEP GAN

Not currently a holder here but does anyone know why there wasn't a trading statement from the AGM this year?

Re stacking up price wise , utilitywarehouse are never going to be the cheapest once you exclude CASHBACK there will always be offers out there if you take the time to scam all the introductary offers and risk your business with a new entrant , having been a rep for years it's very rare I see someone who introductary offer hasn't expired on one thing or another and if it's happened on the day I see them then it's going to happen to them again at some point in the future as well people live busy lives but as shareholders we belong to a group that are financially aware and are used to checking out financial affairs in one way or another on a daily basis ( we are more likly to listen to the news once a day read a paper discuss affairs with our mates once a week and maybe check the market twice or more per week lets face it we are not average in the main did I check my gas bill in the last 6 months err no I have far more important things to do with my time do I compare the cost of a loaf of bread with lidle or Aldi when I nip into Waitrose to pick up my warm croissants and free coffee on a Sunday morning err no , as with all companies they have a sector of the market for which everything is perfect for and if I had to put a % on UW it would be a high one based on 60% of people haven't swaped THIER energy suppliers in the last ten years

Raymund, how can you tell if you are getting the 10% discount. I applied as I was on the old discount, they were a bit abrupt with me and said I was on it but how do I know. I've looked on all the TEP websites and can't find any information and nothing on my bills saying i'm getting it.

Hopeful Holder, Are you aware of shareholder discount of 10% off all bills, well worth taking if you are prepared to invest in the minimum 1,500 shares. Also available if you hold in ISA, simple procedure to verufy beneficial ownership. Good luck!

I met some reps from . TEP the other day who came around to talk seriously about looking at what I could save. Two very nice people indeed who you would be happy to place your business. In the end I could not get the numbers to stack up on an individual basis and not really wanting to put all my eggs in the TEP basket in one go without testing them out first. So anyone from the board reading this take note. I want to Trust you and build a relationship with you prior to giving you all my utility bills on the promise I might / could save money but without testing your customer service first.

It would be nice Bob, I'm looking for this to grow strongly over the next few months with my own first target at £12.

I think news of 400'000 customers deserting BG in the last 6 months out today will have some private investors making the switch to TEP SO WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF WE SEE FURTHER GAINS TOMORROW INSTEAD OF A DROP ( IMHO )

I have first hand knowledge of how effective the LED bulb promotion is in gaining and locking in customers taking all 5 services.Rising wholesale energy prices are already starting to impact on the cheaper energy suppliers so I think TEP may be over the worse in terms of slower growth.

Share Incentive Scheme Charges Operating profit is stated after share incentive scheme charges of £2.5m (2015: credits of £1.0m). These relate to an accounting charge under IFRS 2 Share Based Payments ('IFRS 2') and arose principally as a result of the increase in the Company's share price over the year. As a result of the relative size of share incentive scheme charges/credits as a proportion of our pre-tax profits, we are separately disclosing this amount within the Consolidated Statement of Comprehensive Income for the period (and excluding these charges from our calculation of adjusted profits and earnings) so that the underlying performance of the business can be clearly identified. Our current adjusted earnings per share have also therefore been adjusted to eliminate these share incentive scheme charges.

it's actually neither, if you read accounts properly.... Customer Churn is climbing Customer Spend is dropping Statutory Profit is down 3.3% Statutory EPS is down 2% to 39.8p, which does not cover the dividend they are paying at 46p The have to do little magic and make adjustable figures look better. I expect Dividend to drop after this year.....

Weemonkey. For now this is not so much a growth stock but an income growth share which tends to be priced more according to the yield.
