Thinking about it surprised at the delay in getting financial close on Gaydon; perhaps management were overoptimistic thinking it would be done by Dec 13 and/or are playing hardball but I was under the impression that financing markets had eased and of course lenders should be more comfortable as Dagenham was done on budget and on time
Not sure what to make of Today's announcement and wonder if it is a result of the competitive markets they talked about yesterday

Hi Mad,

I've always liked the TEG business feeling that all will work out ultimately because of society's direction of travel wrt to waste disposal and also the need for all possible renewable energy sources. There have indeed been trials over recent years but I genuinely feel that TEG are getting there, despite the injustice of GMA. Also, I'm a keen gardener and love the virtuous experience of compost production.

Today's announcement is intriguing i.e. that we're able to get this asset for £1 - presumably the owner is in financial difficulties but is trying to do the decent thing by their employees at Hilbarton.

yes maybe if the present managers could run a bath. Sadly they can't.

March 31 advfn
Not surprised that the price fell given news from Manchester to me is not good-remember at the AGM they were talking about getting funds mid 2014 but from the tone of today's announcement we will not collect all by year end.Remember that the retentions total £2.4m-intrigued about the reference to PI Insurance in the Sept 30 2013 statement and would be good to know more details
Good given these delays that the expensive financing they got last September is not due for repayment till March 15. I read their very carefully worded Going concern statement with interest.
Also rather spooky that they talk about tougher trading conditions in the Operations Division which even after an improvement in H2 13 was barely profitable.
Perth and Dagenham good news and let's hope they complete Gaydon in the second quarter.
I topped up when the Dagenham news came out..not very clever but the share price will in my opinion not decline much more
Incidentally surprised that in the RNS they said that the Annual Report was on the website-it is not and I would not expect it to be for at least another month.
I have decided to take the change of Chairman as good news-no disrespect to the departing one but good to have a man with good industry credentials

Big after hours reported buy of 500,000 at 4p. Might be PG increasing his holding perhaps. Or less likely the new non-exec chairman putting his money where his mouth will be...;)

Results pretty much as expected given the onrunning GMA debacle. Happy to sit tight and have faith that TEG will get there one day soon, after which the share price will climb nicely to reward loyal shareholders.

thanks, you are spot on! once costs are cut they should generate 2m of cash flow per year - and be debt free once retention money are received. should be worth its TNAV of 8.5p once cleaned up. what are the owners waiting for?

It is surely the costs of the staff who are forever trying to acquire deals for new plants that stop this company making a profit. Surely it should stop trying to obtain these new projects and make the necessary staff cuts and run the business for profit for the benefit of the owners, the shareholders. The alternative is to merge or get taken over by a bigger player - without the incompetent bungling that happened last time.

2014 looks better but remarkable that after all these years, they still cannot turn a profit on a £20m turnover. Disappointing.

Edit: Note Shanks pre results today, Might they be able to run this at a profit? Worth 50% of revenues (10p a share?)

As Space has mentioned previously getting closure on GMA is key and would be a huge catalyst for upward movement.

Should receive the retention fee today. Approx £1.5m.

From 31-01-14 RNS
In TEG's Projects division, construction of the Dagenham combined In Vessel Composting ("IVC") and AD plant has continued to proceed smoothly and the plant is now undergoing its planned commissioning and testing process. The Board expects this plant to be handed over on time and budget in the current quarter and final retentions of approximately GBP1.5m are expected to be released at that point. TEG will then commence a 15-year operating and maintenance contract and will retain 24.5% ownership of the facility.

Indeed. Great news and ample demonstration that TEG can do it. If only we can achieve closure on the GMA running sore, then the future will be very bright.

A bit of two way trading. More buyers than sellers. Makes a change. MM marked it down to fill the buy orders having picked up stock @ 3.75p over the last week.
Has the bottom been called?

Morning all. Can`t really blame PG for the self interest. He`s certainly been a helping hand in acquiring stock over the last 2 years. I reckon he`s in at something between 6.5p -7.5p with a £2.5m share investment and of course the £1.2 loan note.
Good to know that Bridges Ventures are still keeping the faith. Although having looked at their website they appear to support companies as result of their commitment to social and philanthropic investment. I doubt they`ll be bundled off with a derisory offer should one emerge.
Intrigued to know who the Chase Nominees are.

But PG's only interested in his own finances, which isn't necessarily the best thing for the companies in which he 'invests'.

I agree waterloo, it would be no bad thing if PG shakes up the management and releases some value for shareholders, much the same as he did at C21 before starting to offload his stake.

He'll be putting in his own management, which given the performance over the last years, will be no bad thing.
