You all exemplify the housing problem.

It's only ever up up up, but the wheel has turned.

You can't see the wood for the trees.

TW holders - why subject yourself to this? Ignore these guys, unless they post something genuine that makes you reconsider your position. Overvalued by 65% at least blah blah blah he says, achingly hoping he can make amends for not buying a house 10 years ago and redeem things by jumping in when homes sell for a song.

Well it's not going to happen mate, I'm sorry. Maybe you get 10% off here and there. Byt the big trends are a headwind for you - hxxp://www.cityam.com/270147/uk-foreign-investment-hits-record-high-investors-shun.

The rest of the world still wants to live here and, Brexit mess or not, have continued, will continue, to move money here. That will support housing.

Lastly I wouldn't check TW's share price tomorrow as it will be a shocker but in 6 months I'll be rewarded.

Night all.

What goes up must come down.

House prices are overvalued by 65% at least.

Use that as an investment starting point.

Think what bitcoin has done just change the timelines to the housing market.

I guess you don't look at TW. share price.

Because you must know something everyone else doesn't.

Jugears, you are wasting your time trying to reason with spoon, pools and up10. They offer nothing whatsoever to back up their wild and negative claims.

I think they are either one and the same or share adjoining rooms in their care home :-)

Quite frankly your comment is stupid, most TW. trades are matched.

WFL1970 I'd rather focus on the company rather than a share price that could and probably is being manipulated over the short term.

I now hold quite a lot of TW shares once again in my SIPP so dividends and a positive outlook means more to me than the day to day share price.

The problem with basing your long or short investing strategy just on share price movements is that you could wake up in the morning and the price is +/- 5% and you are deep in the brown stuff :-)

TW is one of the most solid companies that you could invest in IMHO. I did gamble post Brexit when I looked at which FTSE share had fallen the most after the shock result. I looked at their assets and history of paying dividends and managed to pick up my first block of shares under 120p. As history will show the price recovered very quickly up to 200p and the profits were banked :-)

This time round prices are going down year on year for up to 15 - 20 years.

Rather like the way house prices have risen over the past 5o years.

up10 - "Another corker UT sale of 4,731,890 shares after hours"

Do you know what a UT trade is? An auction matching buyers with sellers.

The above article is a reasonable assesment of longer term prospects,
well worth a few minutes to read.

Primarily on BDEV, however applicable to most of the sector imv.

Like I said, your directors are clueless.

Hence them buying shares at today’s price.

Whilst in a meeting with wimps yesterday, Which was very positive for my company . I asked if they thought Brexit would have any significant impact On Tw In reply I was asked how quick we would be able to increase production after Brexit, I also voiced concern about the share price & asked if I should be worried , In reply I was told do you see any of the directors selling ? Well today I see them buying so that just reaffirms my confidence my confidence in TW.

'Up10 lest we forget ........ the following statement is from a person who knows what is going on at TW.'

That's all well n good quoting Pete Redfern...
But you are investing your money in a Share, and not his words...
His words have remained the same... but the share has lost 35+% since May!

If I were you I'd focus more on the Share price...

At least the chairman's wife has the right idea - maybe some of you should take note!

Kron 76 dividend is at 14%( covered)..18.3pps/131.45. Price to earnings roughly 6.5 off 20pps. The cash balance is likely to be well in excess of 600 million currently required for that so no chance of a cut.

The balance sheet imo is the best in the FTSE 100.. no debt, no bogus goodwill just a genuine statement of 3 billion assets without any future profits booked.

I guess we have entered the Twilight zone..international shares in dying industries like BAT with 60 billion of liabilities once you discount goodwill are worth 50% more p/e according to Mr. Market and that's one that is out of favour.

Up10 lest we forget ........ the following statement is from a person who knows what is going on at TW.

Pete Redfern, Chief Executive, commented:

"We have delivered a strong performance during the second half of 2018, with very good sales rates supported by positive customer demand and a supportive lending environment. This builds on our strong forward order book and puts us on track to meet full year expectations.

Looking ahead to 2019, we remain mindful of wider political and economic risks and the potential impact on customer confidence. However, with a strong balance sheet in place and a high-quality landbank, our business is well positioned to deliver further sustainable growth and cash flow over the medium term."

PS ..... Do you think he would have told his wife not to invest £150k in shares today had he read your in-depths analytical posts over the past few days ;-)

They may do (cut the div) but the isn't the div currently above 9% at this price?

Bumps are a given in the current climate clearly but then if you're looking for some long term potential these bumps are also buying opps?

There will be significant legs down when the dividend is cut.
