15/11/2018 20:20 | JUGHEAD Didn't you say you were in the building industry ? Why are you increasing your risk by increasing your position in housebuilders (and one particular company at that) ? Diversification is what you should be doing. But you can't because of familiarity bias.... How does the familiarity bias impact you as an investor? The main problem is that when you buy the familiar, you underestimate the amount of risk in the investment. Because you underestimate the risk, you do not take the purposeful steps of reducing risk, like diversifying. So you end up taking more risk than desired. Implications are: -Inferior asset allocation -Too much allocation to one or few stocks -Preferences for local stocks (home bias) -Preferences for cultural proximity -Preferences for professional proximity Anyway carry on, you may even be right. I'm just enjoying the experience of behavioural finance in action. | yf23_1
15/11/2018 19:54 | @Steeple The transition from Common Market to EU was driven through undemocratically.A series of UK Governments were culpable of failing to challenge the creation of the EU superstate in the 1990s.Maastricht and the Treaty of Lisbon should have been scrutinised and challenged. And that is why the older demographic overwhelmingly voted LEAVE !! Thanks for evidencing my comments. Many of us have been waiting decades to vote LEAVE. Education, qualifications, lifes It boiled down to,and always has, whether you wanted laws to be made at home or abroad. EU continent is in process of imploding - UK could've been out but bitter remoaners unwilling to accept they weren't getting their way this time have ensured UK will sink along with Europe. Well done. | fangorn2
15/11/2018 19:42 | Pawsche Loved a stage performance by Sean Lock some years back. He said to the audience,”Went back to my old primary school the other day, well I say primary school,it’s a university now.” | steeplejack

15/11/2018 18:53 | Its quite amusing listening to JUGEARS trying to dig himself out of a hole by makng the hole bigger. | yf23_1
15/11/2018 18:38 | Minerve I get annoyed by people who give an opinion and then follow it with "FACT!" It is really quite rude FACT ! and makes you look like a bit of a front bottom FACT ! and they usually aren't FACT! Have a good day | marksp2011
15/11/2018 18:35 | Jugears I am sorry but you do make me smile. The more the share price drops the more buying opportunities you see. Wouldn't it be a better idea to watch it drop and then buy in when there is an uptrend formed. We both think the price will go up but I don't follow why you keep buying Just a thought | marksp2011
15/11/2018 18:12 | Follow the trend as they say. | tradejunkie2
15/11/2018 17:56 | LOL It is certainly NOT TOO LATE TO SELL. If this goes to £1.00, does that mean its too late to sell at £1.48! OF COURSE NOT.........what a load of nonsense Any near term bounce will be used as a selling opportunity. | up10
15/11/2018 17:47 | Had a little nibble at the days close. | clarky5150
15/11/2018 17:45 | Although the chart of TW. may look awful, I imagine many other shares' charts are showing similar features. I would suggest it is pointless looking for trends with such a major macro event unfolding. As said above, too late to sell (and buy back) now. It is just a pure gamble on whether stocks settle down or have a lot further to fall. I would guess the latter, but that is all it is: a guess. Faites vos jeux! Rouge ou noir! | m4rtinu
15/11/2018 17:44 | Yes only about 3% of students went to university in my day.I went and got an honours degree in Arts subjects that have no relevance other than helping to get the odd answer every Monday when Paxman comperes University Challenge. You are right of course, the lack of political awareness among the young is extraordinary compared with the 1960s and 70s,but that might well change. They sung up when Corbyn visited Glastonbury and he assured the ensemble that they were “many”an Anyway,I’m off for a pint. Some of my best friends voted leave you know :).....and some are arguably reasonably qualified. | steeplejack
15/11/2018 17:38 | Bought more Lloyds & Wimpey today these long term bargains just keep coming & coming. | jugears
15/11/2018 17:29 | LOL, IF you're into selling you're about 8hrs too late. | gbh2
15/11/2018 17:14 | Down down down like June 2016....... time to sell | barbar7619
15/11/2018 17:10 | Oh dear, what a diatribe.Firstly,I don’t correlate wisdom with education.Nonetheles I thought very seriously about voting out on constitutional and legal grounds. However, fran Rather patronisingly, the 2016 referendum result was likened to a sort of peasants revolt given that the likes of London and other metropolitan areas voted to remain.Certainly,Wes As for age,two of my older relatives have died since the referendum. They both voted leave.Next time, the youngsters will know better and turn out to vote. | steeplejack
15/11/2018 16:51 | Chart is looking awful. There may be a temporary bounce tomorrow, but this will go much much lower! | up10

15/11/2018 16:29 | steeplejack15 Nov '18 - 16:25 - 21318 of 21318 0 0 0 hxxps://www.jrf.org. If you scroll down to research about the correlation between education and a vote for Brexit, you will indeed find that the majority of brexiteers were uneducated compared to remainers. That doesn’t mean that the average brexiteer is less wise of course but certainly less qualified than remainers. Thereagain,Boris went to Eton and Oxford and seems incapable of understanding the complications of leaving the EU,spouting “cake and eat it”baloney. Ah I see you're one of those reprehensible people that believe some votes carry more weight than others. Don't forget the demographic that overwhelming voted TO LEAVE were the ones lied to in 1970's who then were denied any say whatsoever, despite massive materiality to our membership terms, over the subsequent period.... I presume you;re well versed in the sell outr of the British Armed forces into the EU defence structures then? We voted LEAVE For democracy to survive leave we must. Else civil war will unfold as its clear how bitterly divided this nation now is over this(given bad losers wont accept they lost) This will result in A Communist in No10 And we all know where that will end. Venezuela in 18-24 months. majority of brexiteers were uneducated compared to remainers. Too thick to be brainwashed by Progressive Leftie Pro EU drivel at state school I suppose eh! So when are you going to tell me I didn't know what I voted for?? | fangorn2
