I find that somewhat worrying that the chairmans wife wants to sell 550000 shares this close to exdiv . Its not small change and somebody must have advised her .
On the bright side we have no earth shattering news to come for the next 27 days or whatever it is, or someone is in trouble for insider dealing .

I would also say incidentally that if one applies the change in capital usage they are proposing to the lower 2016 sales volumes you can back out an extremely good level of earnings which gets them to a sub 9x PE so that's something to remember too in that a modest cyclical downturn is already more than priced in.I only wish they would implement share repurchases

I have to agree beercapafn but the sector has always faced a wall of worry whether its supply issues, demand issues, interest rates, availability of funding, or governmental interference. And then management of these companies are to a degree short sighted otherwise we would see more efficient balance sheet structures and perhaps some sector consolidation as well as buybacks. But therein as they say lies the opportunity. And a lot of smart investors like BlackRock are taking strategic stakes in these businesses and reaping the rewards.I have a hard time myself seeing these things carry a yield much more than 8%, so backing out the 18.3p five year dividend payment they consider possible to make I get a short term share price target of 225p to 228p - or as much as 238p including the special dividend they will pay shortly. For that reason I'm buying as much as I can

A lot of investment houses will view the special dividend as being 'uncertain' and so will not give it the same consideration as the interim and final dividends.

So we get 9.5% which looks fairly certain for the next few years.

So over 25% of the current price returned over three years , cant be bad

Raffles: I also dont get it - the P/E just does not retlect such a strong earnings and proformance. + Div...

Or is that what holds the share price down.

I cant see why these are not in everybodys portfilio. !!!

I struggle to see these shares trading at 191p or below at end of month with a 9.5% prospective five year dividend yield

RTGT Thank-you for posting re CRST - would have missed that one.
As commented, London centric and higher value centric, so needs to be taken in context.
I intended to top up on TW last couple of days, but distracted by other things so annoyed it was up 3% yesterday. Maybe read across from CRST will dampen price so I can top up as planned with mitigated feeling of losing out.

CRST 12% down at moment, with other builders around 1% down, so CRST effect and/or profit takers from yesterdays TW inspired mini boost.

I'm also an appreciator of 5% trading, though I'll now hold a higher number of TW shares I'll also be watching for (what I hope) is a new trading range to be established preferably above 200p.

Calabrian,

NXT, RR., CCL and EZJ have been good to me as ones to watch and trade reasonably frequently. My current top two for long term growth potential and decent dividends are ABF and ITV. They have now been joined as longer term (hold and relax) by TW. :-)

I am not looking for ten baggers like other experts on ADVFN, however if I can take 4-5% from a gamble on a relatively stable FTSE100 company a couple of times a year and compliment those trades with a few dividends payments then that'll do me (or more importantly my SIPP) just fine.

Please DYOR.

Agree and south of England. Has no immediate bearing on TW who frankly wouldn't have announced what they announced yesterday if it did

Just as TW get it right Crest Nicholson drops a clanger warning of flat pricing environment impact margins which are coming in at low end of guidance.

Based on todays excellent RNS I am happy to move TW. from my list of good ones to trade as and when on to my list of really good ones to hold and take significant dividends from each year (and let the dips and rises take care of themselves) :-)
