03/3/2009 17:20 | Hi Question from a novice,what do,se a scripe dividend mean.Thanks | kirbydon
03/3/2009 10:38 | The Annual Results were really rather good... they've also hiked the dividend by 20% backed by extremely strong cashflow... a pretty bold move in times such as these and certainly a signal to the market. I like Tarsus as a company... they've an extremely good portfolio of exhibitions spanning multiple continents and an increasing foothold in emerging markets. | promethean
03/3/2009 08:41 | The Directors are proposing a final dividend of 4p per share, bringing the total for the year to 6p per share - more than twice covered by adjusted earnings per share. This is an increase of 20% over 2007 and 50% over the dividend for 2006. The final dividend, which is subject to Shareholder approval, is proposed to be paid on 11 May 2009 to Shareholders on the Register of Members of the Company on 27 March 2009. A scrip dividend will continue to be offered as an alternative. | westcoastrich
03/3/2009 08:19 | Yes excellent results. 20% increase in final dividend to 4p as well. | billbyrne
03/3/2009 08:04 | Excellent results beating expectations and 6p total dividend for the year. | sheik yerbouti
19/2/2009 13:59 | Forecast for this year of eps 20.2p is assuming a US$ rate of 1.75. If the lower current rate is maintained, this will boost earnings. Whether the outlook for bookings stays strong remains to be seen though. | sheik yerbouti
19/2/2009 11:12 | westcoastrich Yes, nice small moves up, not attracting the pump and dumpers. Just the way I like it. Sudden moves result in volitility. Value will out itself in the end. I,ve followed Tarsus for a few years now and been in and out at a profit. I think the current price is to low. Its a good business with good management and trading inline, as all the RNS statements have said. I bought again at just over 50p and added again at just over 56p last week. Results are out on the 3rd March. The interim dividend was increased by a third, will the final dividend be increased by the same, we will have to wait and see, even if it is maintained at 5p it is still a return of over 7%. We are also coming into a period that is normally busier as this paragraph from the trading statement points out. Outlook for 2009 Within each two-year cycle, odd years are by far the larger in profit terms for the Group as they contain both Labelexpo Europe (in September) and the Dubai Air Show (in November). Bookings for both of these biennial events remain strong. Having dropped from over 250p I think their is further upside in the share price, but what do I know. I have been possitive on other shares only to see them go down. This is a very difficult time for investers, as always be careful and do your own researce. Good luck | billbyrne
18/2/2009 23:26 | up each day and not a peep, apart from you bill | westcoastrich
18/2/2009 15:34 | Yes, its continuing its steady rise. Results not to far away. I wonder if the RNS on the 2nd Dec is helping, I like this bit. The reduction of capital has created distributable reserves of £39,065,048.80 for New Tarsus to utilise for dividend payments and share re-purchases in the medium to long term. | billbyrne
18/2/2009 09:54 | nice move up | westcoastrich
17/2/2009 19:43 | The price ticked up as the American markets opened, I wonder if there is buying interest from over the pond. | billbyrne
17/2/2009 19:41 | A nice steady rise again today. With just under 62,000,000 shares in issue any small but consistant buying will push the share price upwards. | billbyrne
13/2/2009 19:02 | Nice steady rise today. Lets hope for more of the same in the build up to results in March. | billbyrne
12/2/2009 23:00 | Anyone any idea which analysts are covering this stock. The forcast price would be nice. Analysts' ConsensusConsensus View: (1.33 - Overweight) Number of Analysts: 6 Forecast Price: 112.00 GBX Price Movement: +100.00% Updated 09/02/2009 | billbyrne
12/2/2009 17:10 | No, not on LSE website. Anyone else know where you can find a record of all trades? | sheik yerbouti
12/2/2009 16:57 | Thanks anyway, it seems strange that you can't see them all. Will they all be on the LSE website. | billbyrne
12/2/2009 16:55 | I'm not sure you can anymore bill, they changed the layout recently. There used to be somewhere to click to show all trades. You would have thought they would improve the website, not reduce it! | sheik yerbouti
12/2/2009 16:53 | Any views on this, The reduction of capital has created distributable reserves of £39,065,048.80 for New Tarsus to utilise for dividend payments and share re-purchases in the medium to long term. This alone distributed between the 62,000,000 ordinary shares in issue works out at 0.62p per share. Could we see a special dividend paid. If its used to re-purchase shares its going to buy them all at todays share price. Or have I got this wrong. | billbyrne |
