Well a while ago I was thinking that the move to online print seemed a good strategic move and it appears to have been borne out by the increases in revenue.

The bit that bothers me is the constant need for new products, although growth in retained customers is probably the key to any medium term growth.

In the end it probably boils down to that old question: "If someone gave you (eg.) £10mln, would you set up whatever business it is that you are thinking of buying shares in ?"

Mentioned the new Wrap Me product which would save the need for cards, not sure how it will go as a card is always nice to receive.

Wasn't impressed with them at Mello and sold, looked in to see if it was a buying opportunity but at the minute it's not.

Chairman needs to go IMO total scatter bomb approach with no cohesion between the companies he keeps buying by diluting our shareholdingsI'm sick of keep hearing stupid lines like " creating a more agile business" A marketing firm giving up on marketing in order to gain more tradeClueless

Just to let you all know that Tangent will be exhibiting and presenting at the Mello2014 investor event in Derby in 6-8th November www.mello2014.com

There are nearly 60 companies presenting and over 20 really excellent keynote speakers through the three days so well worth a visit. I have a tiny few half price tickets left if anyone cares to email me.

This is what they said at full year results:-Last weeks PW looks totally in line with this......Tangent Snowball is a top 20 digital marketing agency offering a unique blend of technology and creative insight to global brands such as Carlsberg, PepsiCo, SAP and the Wolseley Group. This year the team was strengthened with the appointment of a new chief executive from Omnicom. During the year, the business focused on a smaller number of higher value contracts resulting in lower revenues but higher gross margins at 89.0% (2013: 77.0%). Operating profit grew by 5.8% to GBP0.91m (2013: GBP0.86m). New client wins included Papa Johns, Agatha Christie and Evoshave.Tangent Snowball identified an opportunity to sell great value-add services to its long standing client base. It has hired new talent to enhance the range of services it can offer to its clients, and we expect that investment to yield additional profits in due course. There may be a deferral in profits in the short term while new services are marketed to our customers, but we expect that effect to be reversed once sales of the new services start to take effect.

All divisions seems to be growing with the exception of snowball. They said this would happen at full year so this is hardly a shockLittle note of Ravensworth ahead of expectations snuck in thereTangent broker also asking for stock at these levels ( adding to buy back)This will be a very short term dip IMO and a good chance to add, which I have done All the best

Broker Cannacord have trimmed their target price from 12.7p to 11.6p so not a big downgrade in the scheme of things. Due to the dividend i've increased my holding today and now have an average of 8.35p and intend to hold for some time.
Good luck AdamB1978.

Disappointing, but there are a few things to consider.
The tax charge will be eased, and with the cash position & cover, the dividend will be easily maintained. (3.2%)
THis is still TNG's strength, which ought to see it fair at 8p for now.

Didnt have a huge amount of these however have sold out. Slightly annoying as I'd been meaning to have another look at them for a while given the valuation was slightly higher than I was comfortable with.

Main reason for selling is that they say that H1 profit for Online is flat and is down £0.45m for the agency business....yet profit for the year is expected to be flat year on year. They therefore need to materially outperform in H2 vs last yaer in order to hit that flat expectation.

On the basis of needing to beat last year to keep things flat, I would say that that is almost the upside case and its quite possible that earnings will decline this year. Therefore trading on 12x is probably around right or generous - EPS could easily slip to 0.5p which then puts the PE up to 15x.

Will keep it on my radar as there's a number of things I like about TNG - the board is sensible, like the BS and 3-4 year trend in EBITA is good. However I cant see the share price progressing from here before the interims next year so may as well exit and invest elsewhere

All the best for those who hold

What to do? Hold them and add when others have sold.
Yes should have listened to GHF once again.....

Probably get marked down to a p/e of 10 ish and then settle a bit above. Getting a bit boring now. As GHF ? said earlier, growth in earnings was not going to be 25% anyway. They are in a transitional phase. I was never excited by the agency business, but they are going to be 100% print soon.

What to do...?

Beware traders talking it down. Check out their reversing sentiment on other threads, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more.

You could be right Shanklin, closing line , Overall we anticipate further progress in the current year towards generating more revenues online. True.

It's all in the wording isn't it.
