Looking at today's RNS and the AGM statement on 24-Jun-14, I do wonder whether the latter was as informative as IMHO it should have been. All IMHO, DYOR.

Agree battlebus - the cash, flat rather than decling earnings plus the online growth means that this isnt the worst of profit warnings

should have been 25% growth but now flat. Thats a big shortfall and hence it is a profit warning!!!

Cash has held up well to 2.5 million only down from 2.8 at the interims. If profits are similar to last year 2.33 it's not all bad. Dividend likely to be held unless trading deteriorates.

That came out of the blue....

So they'll be on a PE of 14x - 15x for this year, but no growth. Silver lining is that the online business is continuing to grow and that might potentially limit the fall today

Trading update not what we wanted to hear with profits similar to last year.
Snowball having problems but online increasing revenues. I expect these to be red after this update but hopefully they have now got a handle on the problems and we can move on from here. Still a hold for me.

first week in September last year gave quarterly KPI's so hopefully good news and a bit of press

You need to own the shares going into the ex divi date to receive a dividendBuying on the day doesn't qualify

I'd appreciate if someone could put me right on this - I've never understood the dates around the dividend.

today is ex div day. Does that mean if you buy them today - you don't get the div, or you do get the div today, but not tomorrow?

The div will be paid to those on the register on the 18th, so if I were to sell some tomorrow - when would they know if I sold them ie would I get the dividend?

Well the bid was slightly higher afterwards so maybe the recent sells cleared or Insts moving/ buying stock.

I see this weeks shares magazine says not to be put off by the latest trading update where they said profits at Snowball had fallen as this was expected instead we should concentrate on the winning side of the business Printed which continues it's strong growth path.
