02/4/2019 06:36 | Looks like Brexit mess is encouraging people to stay at home and rather than travel given the Easyjet news yesterday. That should help as people spend more of their cash in the UK. | amt
22/3/2019 07:24 | I think the dividend policy is fine. I think they need to build a very healthy cash balance given the working capital demands and allow for the potential of the odd bad period. Especially with the potential for a disorganised Brexit which could hammer consumer confidence for a while. Consistent profits and growth in profitability plus a strengthening balance sheet will eventually pull the share price higher. A large cash balance would eliminate risk which will also help. | amt
07/3/2019 07:53 | We could do with them to present at Mello to get some new investors on board and as i said a dividend policy that pays out 25% of EPS. This should still allow for the lumpy good and bad years ( i am hoping we are past the bad days)........and say 15p in current year give the shares a serious income rating. Its time we holders shared in the rewards. The market in the shares needs sorting at 12% spread is far too high. Very few shares to be had TBH these have to be worth much more. The second half must of been around 2m profit and first half has continued. Could we dream of up to 4m this year? Tiger | castleford tiger
07/3/2019 07:26 | Tiger, yes. 28 June 2018: Chairman, Mervyn Keene, will make the following statement at today's AGM: "Trading in the first part of the year has been difficult, with revenue for the 25 week period to 24 June approximately 30% behind the prior year period for a number of reasons.” But yes, you are right it was the Finals on April 11 that took it up, and the AGM statement that brought it crashing down. | graham1ty
06/3/2019 11:53 | if that 5000 goes this jumps up very fast tiger | castleford tiger
04/3/2019 22:47 | Think you will also find that price was 160 before AGM and 120 after it ? Please check | castleford tiger
04/3/2019 22:44 | AGM did say sales were down 30% ?? Tiger | castleford tiger
04/3/2019 22:41 | Not much ! However to get close to last year they probably made 2 m in second half and we are doing better in first half. Therefore 40/50 p eps in current year should see shares at 6 or 7 times earnings and 300 p Time will tell Tiger | castleford tiger
04/3/2019 19:58 | Well, the Tandem roller coaster continues. An AGM statement in June that was positive and took the shares up to 160p. Then three months later, it turns out revenue was down 29% in 1H and TND lurches into a loss. The shares crash down to 100p again. But now, revenue is back up 6%, leaving revenue down just 12% for the year ( is that good btw ?) yet cost cutting means profit is almost unchanged on last year. Cue the share price racing back up to 160p. Now 1Q has started very strongly. What could possibly go wrong ? | graham1ty
04/3/2019 19:11 | To get a following the following needs to happen. The company pay for a note and promote the company more The MM need to sort out the spread. much of today was 145/165. Even though you could get inside this I am not sure for those using on line accounts Stop fudging the numbers and give more information in trading updates. Shareholders need a bigger share of the profits.Maybe 25% of EPS as a starting point. If we hit 30p last year we should be getting say 7.5p Tiger | castleford tiger
04/3/2019 16:39 | Yes I think that's correct. So potentially good news then. | amt
04/3/2019 14:52 | Tandem import bikes from China? | jeff h
04/3/2019 13:45 | I don't recall them being so bullish before. With bikes stabalised (hoho) and Squish growing, everything else seems to be going well. The most important part the toys are doing very well. If all comes good then could easily do between 40p to 60p per share. If they can repeat it the year after then could rerate to pe of say 10 so over a couple of years plenty of scope for a multi bagger. | amt
04/3/2019 13:27 | 1250 plus 1250 and 2000 added between 155 and 157 tiger | castleford tiger
04/3/2019 12:25 | So profits only just below last year so can we expect close to 30p for last year? Current year started well ( have they been so bullish before?) What can we expect for 2019? You have to fancy 40p plus eps so at 159 we are 4x earnings. Just bought what I could and nudged it up a bit more. Can only see 12500 left with Peels then it could race to 200p. davidosh your opinion? Tiger | castleford tiger
04/3/2019 08:55 | Very good update. This is a very well managed company who have steered it through difficult markets by tight cost control and being very dynamic in product innovation. Looks to me like they have a very strong team who can take the company forward now to strong growth and profits. Current valuation is below assets and its generating a couple of million per annum perhaps 3m this year given that they generated 2m in the last 6 months. That could put it on a pe of 2 or 3. The very competitive bike part is smaller than the toy side. With the pound starting to recover against the dollar the margins should be helped also. So perhaps turnover for 2019 somewhere between 33 and 38. Net profit before tax 2.0 to 3.5m with pe ratio with share price of 1.40 just 2 or 3 and assets well over market cap so seems ridiculously undervalued. I think after the first half profits of only half a million were expected not 1.5 m or so now penciled in. The Castle Bromwich building alone has a market value of over 3.1m which is half market cap. | amt
28/2/2019 18:50 | I think we should get a trading update within a week if history repeats... I also think the low rating cannot last much longer. Shareholders need to be strong as they are the owners and deserve a much better return from all the money invested over the last few years. | davidosh
19/2/2019 09:58 | I am expecting the BoD to take the lions share of any value created by the company. I'm hoping for something else. I have a small holding here as I thought selling imported bicycles was a straight forward business. I'm just a penny punter | jbfnfn
18/2/2019 18:40 | We should be due a trading statement in two weeks as usually first week of March. What are we expecting or hoping for ? | davidosh
29/1/2019 07:10 | Woozle1 yes you are right. I found this article One of the few things that seems to have come true, the issue I mean. However I don't think Blair and Major had fully realised the implication namely that a proper Brexit would appear to be impossible because all sides refuse to have any kind of border. Anyway pound continues to go up which is good news. | amt
25/1/2019 21:54 | AMT .. Blair and Major and others said much about this issue .. no one was listening .. w1 | woozle1
25/1/2019 19:54 | Pound surging higher vs USD is good news for Tandem. It looks like Brexit has become a damage limitation exercise now that many people are realising that the N Ireland situation has made it so difficult to undertake. Strange that the biggest issue by far was never mentioned by remainers or Brexiteers at time of referendum. If that had been known at the time it would have made for a very different discussion at the time. Still that was the gamble I suppose at the time. | amt
08/11/2018 10:01 | Total remuneration for the last few years: 2017 was £787,000 2016 was £689,000 2015 was £665,000 2014 was £820,000 ( three Directors got over £200,000) 2013 was £566,000 Total remuneration over five years.....£3.5 Market cap £5m Nothing else to add | graham1ty |
