No trading with US company as previously mentioned by somebody a while back.
Strength of sterling vs usd will be helping margins.

CVA at toys r us. I wonder how much they owe us. Could be a big loss both in cash and ongoing sales.

Complacent, unimaginative management who are overpaid and lack the sort of entrepreneurialism required to create shareholder value.

Wow 20 years is a long time and I have only held for half that time but do share your frustration. Where do you see the problem ?

Just having held the shares for not far shy of 20 years and having observed the performance, was there something specific you wanted to know?

It looks like pro rider is now back on track so expecting good things to come. It looks a good strategy on the basis of demographics alone. The first half EPS is as good as any as far as I can remember. The business is weighted to second half so should be on target for at worst double H1.
They have made about 15p per share in H2 the last couple of years so that would give say 23p eps. I have taken their cautionary words over economy to get to say 18p.

We paid out £5.5m to buy Pro Rider and ESC. What are they adding to the bottom line and if they are why is the whole company valued at less than that having also paid out for the freehold of the HQ and factory.

It feels like we never have consistent periods of growth in profits and yet the board and plc costs are huge compared to the market cap which has barely changed in the 12 years I have been invested here. Profits should have doubled after those deals....what was said at the last Agm as I missed it ?

Never a big fan of non cash write downs on financial derivatives that will unwind at some point.
So we go from 756 to a net 373k after we throw everything at it.

How we shareholders will ever get value here I don't know.

Eps more than doubled. Second half cautious so I have pencilled in conservative 18p eps for year. Good increase in dividend so underlying confidence for the future. So there is upside in my forecast could be 25p eps if Xmas is normal. Its a good income share with not far off 4% yield.

While the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Belgium and France have long embraced them – almost 30% of all new cycles sold in Holland are pedelecs – the UK lags behind. But this is changing: ebike sales rose from 5% of the UK bike market in 2015 to 12% in 2016. Halfords dubbed 2017 the “year of the ebike” after a 220% sales increase.

Demand for e-bikes growing rapidly globally as over number of over 50's grows. Probably true in UK so a good opportunity.

Pound looks like will be say 10% lower vs last year whereas at one stage it was heading for 20% lower so overall margins will probably hold up better than expected at the last trading statement.
