Bookbroker I totally agree. Something is not right here. Whats the big action in directors and NED buying big chunks, what do the MM know, not a bad set of results, growth on target for 2021, FTTP link up with city fibre and BT all good. Why can't she burst through the 90p

Another half-million TalkTalk shares for Roger Taylor, Non-Exec Director.

Costing £440,600.

Roger Taylor has now bought one-and-a-half million shares in just the last few days which have cost approx £1.4million.

That's very significant buying by a NED by any standard.

STRONG DIRECTOR BUYING

This being in addition to The CEO's purchase of almost a quarter of a million shares yesterday.

TalkTalk intend to start offering FTTP from next month via Openreach's national network.

This is scaling up their existing Ultrafast (100mbps + ) offerings which currently use connections available through G.fast and CityFibre.

Impressive to see the CEO buying another £200,000 of shares, as per today's RNS.

Tristia Harrison buys 223,045 shares at 89p. This is on top of the 171,970 which Ms. Harrison had already bought just four months ago in February.



This activity all adds up to a great deal of DIRECTOR BUYING so far this year.

Today's FT mentions on page 12 that TalkTalk came under selling pressure yesterday after broker Redburn repeated sell advice.

The FT article also says the following: " The broker also speculated that TalkTalk might merge with Three, the UK mobile operator owned by CK Hutchison, by reversing into the London share listing at an inflated valuation".

Personally, not familiar with Redburn and their research.



It seems to me that the big event and real story yesterday was the RNS detailing a purchase of almost one million pounds of shares by Non-Exec Director Roger Taylor.


Skin in the game is skin in the game.

Today's RNS details a purchase /notification by Non-Exec, Roger Taylor who buys 1,000,000 ordinary shares in TalkTalk for a consideration of some £960k.

A significant purchase.

Interesting timing. - Taylor has been on the TalkTalk board as a NED since November 2015

STRONG FIGURES ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY .

Unfortunately on a really bad market day.

However, some incredible growth figures yesterday, some superb profit metrics and a strong outlook notwithstanding standard covid-related guidance remarks.

Astonishing 34% growth in Fibre broadband base

Prudent to set aside a pot of a few million pounds to cover potential problem accounts - but all part and parcel of the corona crisis- and a relatively small price to pay against massive growth in Fibre and headline statutory profitability.

Dividend maintained.

TalkTalk have certainly tidied up their act over the last year. Cost-cutting, streamlining, refocusing, move to new HO in Salford, disposals, refincings all will reshape and drive Talktalk forward.

The future looks much more promising, in a sector hot with M&A.

Well said SQ and considering the major cyber attack on TALK when she had to admit she did not know the level of data encryption, it is to be hoped that she is more aware of people's personal data in this venture.

The final dividend* for FY20 will be paid on 7 August 2020, subject to approval at the AGM on 21 July 2020 for shareholders on the register on 10 July 2020 (ex-dividend 9 July 2020)

Difficult day to release results in overall falling market, but they really should be looking at playing a part in the consolidation of the sector. That’s is what will move the needle. Small shareholders have no voice here against Dunstone and Tosca, but they should be advocating for a merger with larger rival, already seen Virgin join with O2, time this one did likewise!
