Result of Fundraise

Synairgen plc (AIM: SNG) ("Synairgen" or the "Company"), the respiratory drug discovery and development company, is pleased to announce that, further to the announcement made earlier today, the Company has now closed the Fundraise and successfully raised gross proceeds of approximately GBP2.9 million consisting of 17,891,250 New Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Placing and 109,375 New Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Subscription all at a price of 16 pence per New Ordinary Share (the "Placing Price"). The Placing Price represents a discount of approximately 11.0 per cent. to the closing mid-market price of 17.95 pence on 24 September 2018 being the latest practicable date prior to the publication of this Announcement.

A circular to Shareholders is expected to be posted tomorrow, including details of the General Meeting and the Resolutions and will be available on the Company's website, www.synairgen.com.

General Meeting

A notice convening the General Meeting, to be held at the offices of Fladgate LLP, 16 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5DG at 10.00 a.m. on 12 October 2018 is set out in the Circular.
