neilrr no update is necessary at the moment until the full 2018 accounts are published. On another point what would have been the point of going to the UK Investors Show to hear the same old BS and jam tomorrow scenario?

Robert Nash, Was it you who had compiled a comparison of the Michael Laurier's combined salary, bonuses, share options, 'wife's' usurious interest rate loans vs. SYM's profits(sic) over the last decade or so? Might have been the whole passel of pigs at the trough, AKA the Bod you were comparing. If it was you an update would be timely.

neilrr like your comment "lifestyle and feathering company" do you think these overpaid BoDs will take a remuneration cut for 2018? £551k (2017) £565k (2016) £801k (2015 - M.Stephens - Technical Director was still on the payroll). I would have liked to see less than £500k (which is still too much) what do you think. Based on these 3 greedy directors the Chairman is underpaid at £16k per annum amounting to £1330 per month compared to the useless VC/CD at £200k.

Normally when results are issued there are several bloggers commenting. Obviously there is no interest in the lousy results and in this company. Very sad state of affairs maybe the CEO and Vice Chairman should step down and pave the way for more capable replacements.

Long term no-hoper lifestyle company with the sole purpose of feathering Michael Laurier, his family & BoD's nests releases pitiful results & lurches on for another year. SOSDD.

Not long now until ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) produces it report on oxo biodegradable plastics which is likely to one way or another impact the share price! This report will say whether they believe there is merit in this technology and is due on 30th January hxxps://www.symphonyenvironmental.com/resource/response-to-bbc-coverage/ Around 35 minutes into the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtLlgX3VP3s

Nevertheless, it's all grist to the mill and raises the whole subject of recycling again - all good publicity and PR for SYM. Fantastic value down here!

Jailbird an interesting subject...Symphony were at the forefront of this technology in 2007 unfortunately due to the wisdom of one individual it went nowhere. A real shame as The Rupert Project would have been more efficient.

The Co-op battles single-use plastic with compostable bag. The bags can be turned into peat-free compost along with the household food waste, and are approved for home composting. They are priced at the same price as the conventional single-use plastic bag being replaced. Shoppers - who forget their bag-for-life - can use the compostable bags to carry shopping home. The carriers then have a secondary use as food waste caddy liners and are initially available in communities where the local authority accepts them as part of household food waste collections. Iain Ferguson, environment manager, Co-op, said: "The bags are carefully designed to help local authorities with food waste recycling and, reduce plastic contamination in a targeted way. Reducing the environmental impact of our products and eliminating single-use plastic is a priority, we welcome measures designed to make recycling simpler."
