Heard an item on Radio4 today about Walkers Crisps and how to deal with the bags (they sell millions). Recycling was discussed but an interesting part was when the Walkers rep mentioned that they were looking at making them bio-degradable and it was an 8 year project. What struck me was why. Where are Symphony if they already have a solution. Do they have a solution? If so why aren’t they in contact with Walkers.

What ever happened to this RNS? Most probably zilch.Yet again "Jam tomorrow without substance" LONDON--Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC (SYM.LN), a global specialist in advanced plastics and tyre recycling technologies, said Wednesday it has signed a five year supply and marketing agreement with Janssen Pharmaceutica, a division of Johnson & Johnson (JNJ). MAIN FACTS: -Agreement provides Symphony with distribution and marketing rights in a large number of countries; product will be sold by Symphony and co-branded under the d2 pence brand name. -No financial details disclosed. -Symphony shares closed Tuesday at 5 pence valuing the company at 6.24 million pounds.

the environment committee failed to back measures to tackle pollution from industrially-produced plastic pellets, which are melted down to make everyday plastic items. It also failed to support stronger economic incentives to reduce plastic production and consumption. LOL

The market is no longer fooled by the "Jam tomorrow" scenario with this BoDs amazing RNSs with household names which come to nothing and the market has decided on the true share price of this company of between 4 to 5p at best.

jailbird your use of words "do we have some bad news coming" should be the BoDs motto. This company is going no where, they have been caught out by their own self promotion, announcing wonderful deals which in the main come to nothing. No IP unless you call "Jam tomorrow" is their IP.

jailbird, I believe the LSE poster talking about contacting the supermarkets is there to have a laff at the expense of the company shills & employees who post there. And incidentally, SYM's RNSes are untrustworthy - see yesterday's disgracefully misleading share ramp released as an RNS.

Co-op many years ago did. But not for long I think. I had some bags that fell apart in my cupboard with other bags. Right mess it made too.

Going great guns - sales and income up. Rising sales all over the world! Net cash; no debt. s/p on the floor. Good recovery stock from here.

I think this bogus RNS is a serious misstep. After 15+ years of overly optimistic & just plain misleading statements (like this one!) already the market doesn't trust Laurier or SYM. To put out paid research, which amazingly says exactly what SYM wanted it to say, just reinforces the view this company is unreliable & desperate. Think about it, good companies with good prospects don't need to pay for positive research. Other companies, and there have been many, which have gone down this route of paid research to pump the share price & excite the gullible & naive have rarely ended well. Bargepole.

So, it's jam tomorrow, again. SYM hold no patents on any of their 'technology'. I'm sure 'the big fish' have already evaluated SYM's, and all the other minnow's offerings. They seem to have been excited enough to utter a collective 'meh'.

It’s great that this company is fighting back against the one example bad science of the BBC. However more importantly the oxy biodegradable plastic produced by Symphony is not the only string to their bow and arguably not even the one with the greatest potential. Their antibacterial plastics and insect repellent plastics are also taking off. This company has a tremendous future. The only problem (not for share holders),once this is realised it will be lucky to survive as the big fish will soon start circling.
