SANAFOR™ controls the growth of microorganisms on plastic surfaces, providing long-lasting protection against bacteria, fungi (mold and mildew) and algae that can cause stains, odor and product degradation.

"With today's heightened awareness of the impact of germs in our environment, the inclusion of SANAFOR™ differentiates plastic products by adding value and functionality," says Dave Helmer, director of sales and marketing at Janssen PMP. "SANAFOR™ is safe and easy to use, and its EPA registration gives manufacturers assurance of regulatory compliance."

SANAFOR™ is applicable to a broad range of products in the automotive, industrial, healthcare, textiles, footwear and home and leisure industries – from building materials and appliances to bedding and upholstery containing polyolefins. SANAFOR™ is easily added during polymer processing and has no impact on the mechanical properties of the plastic. It also provides good thermal stability and has low-water solubility, limiting migration from the plastic.

"Silver-based additives have often been used as antimicrobials, but they only actively protect against bacteria and can be cost prohibitive," adds Helmer. "SANAFOR™ is a cost-effective option that offers durable, broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection against bacteria, mold, mildew and algae."

Brilliant news but must admit to a little sigh of relief as I was getting a bit worried about the JJ deal. An established sales route through the JJ networks will be very welcome. As expected in a commercial setting, no figures released which although is frustrating for investors is not at all unexpected.

Martin Callanan former MEP joins SYM.

RE. Oxo-degradable/Oxo-fragmentable "In particular, their oxo-biodegradable plastic technology needs to be better understood in Europe. It does not just cause the plastic to fragment, but converts it at the end of its service-life into biodegradable materials.”

Mattjos thank you for this interesting article. I am somewhat surprised that neither Mr Stephen (Chairman) or Mr Bristow (Company Secretary) of The Oxo Biodegradable Association have had the decency to respond to your post?

Quote Michael Laurier CEO of SET Plc "Our long-term business strategy is working and the foundations established for a more rapid and stronger performance going forward. Our business model has been about investing for the future and aiming for more than ordinary performance". It has been a "MORE THAN ORDINARY PERFORMANCE" wonderful words. In April 2014 the share price peaked at 11.25p six months later it is at 6.63p. Jam tomorrow?........hollow words from an overpaid BoDs, maybe ther should be a name change ATM Plc.

begorrah88 you have hit the nail on the head. I have shares in a company that showed profits in excess of £20m, the BoDs totalling five take £950k in remuneration what justification does Sym's BoDs have in rewarding themselves a similar amount for continued failure?

I think the market and PI's have become, rightfully in my mind, cynical of the usual SYM 'jam tomorrow' updates and then the failure to generate any jam.Very cyclical pattern and I agree that it won't be going anywhere until hard facts and genuine evidence of traction are reported. The BoD, along with a great many on the smaller indices, have created an environment of distrust about what they put out and it's' relation to what is actually happening.

What is happening within Symphony? The last update as usual was bullish, since that time the share price has gone south.

SP going south yet again. Until such a time that there are some decent RNSs of contract wins, USA updates and advising what is happening to Symphony Recycling Technologies I fear the share price will go below 5p. If that happens the BoDs should be sacked as incompetent imho

Nothing will change with lot until shareholders get together to oust Diva, Stephen and Laurier, they have lined their pockets for far too long. Keep Bristow who has had a hard job of keeping the business afloat and Michael Stephens as he is in my opinion a brilliant technical director. Clavel is an unknown quantity. Ths jam tomorrow scenario must stop without delay and be replaced with "TRANSPARENCY" which has been lacking for several years.

A friend brought me back a gift from Paris in a Symphony bag with the d2w logo on it... the first one I've ever seen, anywhere. He said it was from the Eurostar duty free gift shop.

Seems like a good high profile place to get your products into, so as a shareholder I was pleased to see it.

Having said that I almost sold today on the drop but held fire... for now.

Not clear - not much volume. Probably someone exiting on results that were as expected but did not excite. SYM thinly traded but wouldn't normally expect this drop on c250k of volume.

Always nice to pop back every so often to read more opaque results from SYM. I have always said that they should disclose how many distributors re-order product and how much is sold just as a stocking in exercise to new distributors, but of course they don't do that as it might show up how poor sales are really. This time it seems they may have a few distributor problems as they have all of a sudden stopped telling us how many they have. We can only wonder why...

hounddog10 results not overly impressive as far as I am concerned. As Anne69 mentions the BoD should be rewarded on results, additionally not allow Mr and Mrs Laurier to loan money at 2% per month which is totally unacceptable. When will they need a cash call?
As far as the recycling business is concerned they claim that Mr. Jones (General Manager) was the inventor, I would question this as I am sure the Patent was part of the RuPERT Project. If I remember correctly year end results 2013 ther were no sales for the Tyre Stripping machine which I also gather was invented by a company in Coventry. What I have stated is all in the public domain. Bearing all this in mind what do they really own and what is it they are attempting to sell?

hounddog - good idea - lower base salary and higher incentive/bonuses for achieving set objectives. Results are steady and no cash burn. Good position to leverage any additional revenues - just need to see the contracts being won.

Results more as less expected. They seem to have got a handle on costs - but getting BoD salaries down to a reasonable level (presumably no cost cutting there) would get the company into a decent level of profit. No new developments really. I thought on the AGM announcement in April(?) we were promised news on the tyres in the next few months.

'idiots like Begorrah'?

What an extraordinary statement to make about someone who challenges your blinkered view.

Not really a level headed and rational debater are you bbd2?

You really shouldn't flatter yourself that I give a monkeys cuss who you are - once again you've made an incorrect assumption.
