Cancellation of Treasury Shares

Sylvania (AIM: SLP) announces that the Group has today cancelled 690,000 Ordinary Shares of $0.01 each ("Ordinary Shares"), currently held in Treasury.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the Company's issued share capital is 286,155,657 Ordinary Shares, of which a total of 13,547,042 Ordinary Shares are held in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights is 272,608,615. This figure of 272,608,615 can be used by shareholders (and others with notification obligations) as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
