MMs rubbing their hands this morning no doubt. Lowered the offer in expectation of sells and boom!

They will not be taking any of mine for this ridiculously low price.

Great little company and good management ... dependent on PGE prices Normally the market adjusts and the price curve rises as production is decreased across the loss making mines Hopefully we are at the bottom of this curve ... maybe not a buy now but one to hold or keep an eye on In y opinion

Simon Thompson at Investors Chronicle is now encouraging readers to sell SLP: I feel that the share price could continue to slide as investors react to lower dividend expectations, materially higher capital expenditure plans and a lower cash pile that will negatively impact the group's enterprise valuation. I am also becoming concerned that despite PGM prices being firmly in the cost curve, major mining groups have yet to restrict supply to tighten the underlying supply and demand balance in the market and force original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to change their inventory management. Sell.

888 - a little history for you, JLP "stole" employees from SLP to get into the PGM / chrome business. You've got it the wrong way round.
And in every way SLP is a far more serious operation.

They are clearly following in the footsteps of JLP who are one of the biggest chrome producers in the world. Chrome produces most of JLP’s profits as the PGM prices remain low. A very sensible move by SLP.

Yep probably near the bottom. Cash still bout 50% of market cap so will underpin this. Admittedly PGM prices are biggest lever on price and they are a bit in limbo at the moment. Happy to hold, pick up the divis, see if PGM picks up.

I'm out after a number of years with a profit, but most of that is from dividends. The target price from the researchers has been steadily reducing from around 180p to Liberum reducing from 87p to 69p today. Not enough risk reward left now, but I have probably sold near the bottom as usual.

True CreditCrunchies but they still have £75m in net cash - circa 60% of market cap of £129m - versus £63m in sales and £5.5m in net profit. That means that it has an EV of circa £54m, nearly 30% below net cash, which is absurd for a company that is also still generating further net cash too.

Looking ahead the CEO stated "With the continued buoyant demand and pricing of chrome, I am pleased with the significant progress on the development of the Thaba JV Project which is progressing well, with first PGM and chrome production expected in HY2 FY2025. This is a very exciting development for the Company as it is an important step towards our further growth and diversification strategy, where we will be adding an attributable annual production of approximately 6,800 4E PGM ounces and introducing 210,000 tons of chromite concentrate and chrome income to the existing production profile and revenue stream respectively."

At this price it looks like a top up/buy to me !
