Fingers crossed Kaos, I don't want people to lose money but I equally I want to get more opportunities to accrue.

Well if it gets there I should buy some more (which is I suppose the argument for charting).

Hi John.

I think this is all technical rather than fundamental. I'd love nothing more than to be at 140p never mind 200p but happy enough to trade it whilst it's doing this, as to try and increase my shareholding.

Hi Bazzer.

I'm using the surge and retrace movements collar to collar to draw my lines.

1st Fib Retrace took us down to 94p

2nd Fib Retrace took us to 83p

3rd Fib Retrace to be completed at circa 75p?

I had a final nice last bottle of rioja that unusally I decided to crack open in the early afternoon on a thursday (ie after noooooooon). I have done quite well with this, but SLP has taken a bit of a dive. I cannot see a reason for this as XRH0 is going up.

Yes bazzer, I'm out at the moment, give us an hour or two and I'll post all three charts.

Hi Plat. Could you post a fuller shot of the fib levels you have got. I can't work out how you are arriving at the levels you show. Cheers

Won't be a popular view but this particular pattern has played out twice already and a third time will take us to 75p

So they're not platinum mines, they're rhodium mines and miners. SA's largest miners have in fact been moth balling rhodium mines for the last 5 years and not platinum?Cmon feret lol

Actually Plat Hunter has it in reverse.

PGM ores were and are being got out of the ground because of the high Rh price, however when you pull lots of Rh out of the ground you also tend to pull out loads of Pt, thus Pt has been in oversupply for some time.

Pt used to be at a considerable premium to gold, now however it is very much cheaper than gold.

I think we are going to have to wait a bit for this car chip matter to sort itself out, to boost cat converter manufacture.

Yes stemi you are right, it was a bad analogy on my part and thanks for correcting it. Platinum would need to be 4k an ounce to cover the same return of Rhodium at 20k

Let's hope that the Platinum glut remains for as long as possible the, or it rises quickly to 4k it when does start to go. :-P

I believe the split of 4E by weight is 61.7%: 25.5%: 12.5% (Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium)

So 1/5th as much Rhodium as Platinum but if the price is 10x higher then the revenue is 2x more

Are you sure about that, the basket is heavily weighted towards platinum I thought? The income however is currently heavily weighted towards Rhodium.40,000 ounces with an extra 1000 going through to the bottom line is an extra earnings value of 40 million dollars net. Brush stroke analogy of course. But you'll see what I mean if you extrapolate the platinum component from the current prill split. I'd be more excited about a rotation to platinum than current rhodium prices for sure.

Rhodium income was always going to be transitory but the real basket weighting is to plat and a 2k plat price will be worth more to the earnings than a 20k rhodium price.

No it won't. A 20k rhodium price will be worth twice as much to earnings as a 2k platinum price.

martin - thank you - the gap that can not ever be filled is called black hole. it sucks all in and never fills (most powerful force in the universe) - similar to the stupidity

I really do hope I have that one gap....

it is getting there to disappear into my gap that 25 % return in a week or so....

I think:

1. share will go up to fill the 27.7. gap
2. downtrend is still intact
3. very cheap share - but one can still trade it with net long
