Amazing.

Shame the markets aren't in better shape to absorb the news.

I was looking at the company website the other day and read the blurb on the investment case.I noticed this:* Manufacturing capacity to generate revenues of £50m/yr* Factory footprint manufacturing capability of £75m/yr* With potential for further expansion on other sitesInteresting that they are considering sales beyond GBP75m now

Short Zeus note lifting target price from 85p to 110p.

They say will publish more substantial note when the results are out in early April

Wow :o))

A contract increase from £27.5m up to £100m isn't something you see every day.

Should be a rather good day here.

Lots of b&b transactions going through. All showing as sales. Distorting the apparent trade balance

Swiss it all comes down to pricing power and ability to pass on the cost to the customer. If like me you believe SCE are in that position then my greater concern is stagflation and the effect of it on global demand for luxury goods and services.

Still a seller out there. Once they are done we should see a big bounce into the 60s

Bottom done by the looks of it. Potential peace deal and energy prices will fall back, especially as we come into Spring.

Not many shares to buy now. Is this a turning point ?

The other point is that whenever there are large price increases in gas and oil there is then a large rise in production a couple of years later and prices fall again. The World is awash with oil and gas but production and investment stagnated during Covid. Its highly likely that prices will be much lower again in a couple of years just when production is ramping up.

While of course gas and energy prices are a big cost, and who knows where they will go over the next year, I would prefer SCE to have the furnaces working full time, churning out discs, whatever the gas price. Yes, an effect on margins ( we can ask at the site visit what % of disc cost is energy input) but better to be busy than not. Hearing “we are saving money on gas as the furnaces are not being used much” is not really what we are invested for !!

Suppose you are right - Swiss the cost of gas is now considerably lower than in the Autumn when the company didn't reduce their forecasts so if prices stay at current levels the costs are actually lower. There was a huge spike a couple of weeks ago but gas costs now much lower. At least UK isn't reliant on Russia so now issue with supply like in other European countries.
