09/3/2022 13:28 | SCE stated April for full year results, no exact date given. | quemaster
09/3/2022 13:06 | Any date please | oldtimerjohn1
07/3/2022 18:32 | Snap quemaster. Full year figures in April. Hopefully an update and the date for the factory visit. Personally I find myself in the unusual position of hoping ST don't have anything good to report this month as it will only get ignored and buried by the general market malaise. Fils. | fillspectre
07/3/2022 17:52 | Will be buying more soon myself, baring another word war this is a huge opportunity, just waiting for a good time to sell a few of my oil and gas shares. Its all about timing which in 20 years of investing I have never got completely right. | quemaster
07/3/2022 16:31 | Short term spike Pinkfoot2. You need deeper reserves if you are going to be the sole cause of a reverse. The job adverts are still up on the ST website. Is time our healer? Fils | fillspectre
07/3/2022 15:47 | I’ve just bought another 50000 to see what happens | pinkfoot2
07/3/2022 14:47 | I hold Golden Prospect, wisdom tree ag and Ninety One Global Gold - all still under water although better than a few months back. | toffeeman
07/3/2022 13:29 | Toffeeman - you may be right - choosing CCBs to save money on fuel is not going to be the reason many will tick that option. Although CCBs reducing weight particularly unsprung weight on a car has been cited as an advantage. How about coming at it from this angle (do I sound desperate :-) ):- This war is going to exacerbate global inequalities even further - compounding the effect quantitative easing has caused. There are already 52 million dollar millionaires globally (according to one podcast I listened to) - we may end up in a situation where a vast majority can't afford private transport clearing the roads for the rich to enjoy them. I should imagine there will still be plenty of people who will be able to tick the option boxes without much thought. I can see lots of fortress luxury SUVs being purchased by the minority. Plus will this accelerate the changeover to electric cars? And I don't know the answer whether comparatively higher energy prices cause a greater percentage increase in the cost of steel discs versus CCBs. Fils | fillspectre
07/3/2022 12:35 | >>Phil wadr no one will buy a car with CCBs to save a few quid on fuel. There seem to be lots of bargains around - just wish I was more in cash than I am! Anyone interested in suggesting stocks (apart from SCE!) I'll kick off: RENX below 300 PZC below 160 Fevr below 1000 DGE delow 3000 BBH below 150 ABDP below 800 | toffeeman
07/3/2022 12:34 | ...from last month... Company overview: Surface Transforms Plc is regarded as developer and manufacturer of carbon ceramic products for the brakes market. The firm’s corporate objective is to design, manufacture and sell carbon fiber components to engineers and industrials firms. Given the rising demand for renewable initiatives, and sustainable investment, Surface Transforms derived a revenue of £2.4m, which is £0.4m higher than last year. The revenue hike of 20%, effectively reflected the surge in vehicle sales across the automobile industry, signifying that there are ample growing opportunities available for Surface. This evidence is supported by the relatively high P/S ratio of 36.75, which in turn signifies that the group has optimised their ability to turn inventory into sales. Also, the firm is expected to derive simultaneously organic growth, since the firm’s CAGR is 7.46%, above the sector CAGR of 5%. Brief Analysis: P/S = 36.75, above sector benchmark. Revenue of £2.4m, higher than last year. CAGR of 7.46%, above sector CAGR of 5%.... ...from WealthOracleAM | km18
07/3/2022 11:49 | Unfortunately Pinkfoot2 I think we have many days ahead of global markdowns on shares. The share volume here remains stubbornly small. However does anyone know if higher and higber energy prices provide carbon ceramic discs witb an advantage over steel discs? Sure our process uses gas but it gets incorporated into a high value product. Recycling any unused gas from the furnace will become a priority. Plus the end use of the discs to provide a lifetime of fuel saving on a vehicle becomes more compelling. Plus my understanding is the supply chain is purely British and close by Western European countries. Fils | fillspectre

07/3/2022 10:24 | I am elusive :) Will add another 25K but not at the moment. Tax year end is ahead so if I can mop up a few under 40p I will. Game of patience now...see if the sellers are desperate to sell before April. | pro_s2009
07/3/2022 09:46 | Can't say I blame you Pro_S2009 - Good luck to you. Will I be seeing you at the factory visit later this year? Fils | fillspectre

03/3/2022 09:20 | I'm back................ Yes, was me who picked up the two lots of 25K this morning. | pro_s2009
02/3/2022 14:15 | They do undermine their credibility by calling it a penny share however…… Anyhow, the more the merrier | graham1ty
02/3/2022 11:52 | I'm not a subscriber (not at £495 per annum!), but am on the circulation lists for Regency Capital, which owns AIM Investor. They've just sent me an email headlined "The Little Known Penny Share Set to Surge". Yep, it's SCE. You get a four page report enthusing very hard about SCE. If you want a free copy of their report then sign up here: Personally I give a false phone number so I don't get plagued by nuisance calls, but they don't seem to send out too many emails and are relatively "kosher" imo. Hopefully it'll attract a little more attention here. | rivaldo
02/3/2022 10:37 | Another mention by Royston Wild; "I think auto parts builder Surface Transforms (LSE: SCE) could also help me make big returns this decade. The engineer isn’t a specialist in the field of electric vehicles, though. Instead it manufactures ceramic brakes that help high-performance vehicles stay glued to the road. It’s therefore well placed to capitalise on rising sports car demand. Latest financials from Aston Martin underline how strongly sales of such vehicles are rising as the number of high-wealth individuals around the globe increases. The luxury carmaker said that it boasts “a healthy orderbook for all core vehicles” and that it plans to sell 6,600 vehicles via its wholesale channels in 2022, up 7% from last year’s levels. Surface Transforms has experienced some production troubles of late due to issues at one of its newly-commissioned furnaces. Such problems are a constant threat to engineers like this that can hit revenues hard. However, I think the firm’s manufacturing expansion programme could in the long term help to supercharge profits as sports car sales grow.' | jerarnie1

26/2/2022 08:05 | I think Henderson have been shareholders for a while, so their average should be well below 50p. However, yr point is still well made: they probably bought more at 50p, so why not keep buying below that level ? | graham1ty |
