Geko - my reply to you was supposed to be slightly facetious and I apologise if this got lost along the way.

The lightness of casual conversation easily gets lost online and anything said gets taken seriously and in a black and white fashion. I know this and don't often comment online because of it. In fact this thread is the only place I do post.

I will therefore return to form and pipe down.

For the record, I don't post OEM names (apart form in response to a question today)and will continue to observe that on here...probably ;)

Your enthusiasm is commendable Cheese but I think you need to recognise the limitations that exist in being a small shareholder of a PLC.

The company recognises the contribution we make and has regularly provided us information that, in other companies, would be restricted to brokers, analysts and large investors.

However there is a limit to what they can tell anyone - especially those actively buying or selling stock. An insider is someone provided with price-sensitive information that is not in the public domain and agrees to not trade on that information. For understandable reasons, the company will limit the number of insiders to any particular event.

Private, members only, boards can serve a purpose and if this one was filled with the inane ramping cant seen elsewhere, it would be very tempting. We have fortunately avoided any decline in standard so far and as such many new faces have joined our civilised and rather enjoyable ride. I would like to see that continue.

Gekostrade - what are the insider rules?

I think you are wrong in your suggested approach cheese666. Effectively you want to become an insider. Ok you could do that but then you would have to accept the rules governing insiders.

Longshanks - Perhaps a private, invitation only board for members would be appropriate to control this and allow a more open and honest debate amongst us private investors. If SCE wants to be active in this space, as you say they already are, they could drip a bit more sensitive information our way to sate our appetites.

Human nature is what it is and by having a listed company, and fund raises, people are going to talk and speculate what's happening. As previously said, everyone else knows apart from us.

The company monitors this bulletin board and I have been asked on a number of occasions to help them maintain the cloak of anonymity as best we can.

Some may feel it unnecessary but I think it wrong to assume that bandying names around will have no impact at all. Secrecy in automotive developments is well known and should IMO be respected.

'Surface Transforms is undertaking testing with several OEMs, including existing customers and those who have not tested our products before. These OEMs wish to control the information flow on both this activity and the subsequent technology and supplier selection. Therefore, we only disclose names after our customers have done so and assign project names or numbers to respect that confidentiality.'

I echo Graham1TY's comments. Posting the perceived identity of an OEM may be fun but it does a disservice, with possible negative implications, to the Company.

The Company has asked that OEMs not be named generally. There has been much speculation as to who they are, some accurate, some inaccurate. It could be damaging to SCE if they are perceived ( unwittingly or not) to have given information that allows positive identification, apart from those like Aston Martin who are widely known. I don’t think you will get anything other than a very straight bat from DB if you ask him to confirm/deny individual OEMs

I've got a list of OEM's from 1-11 that I feel quite confident in. The only one I have no idea on is OEM 9.

From reading the report, I sense it will not be too long before we hear of more orders.

"The Company now expects to enter a period of high growth, partially, but not solely based on a lifetime value OEM order book of circa GBP70m.

"Indeed, we repeat the statement made by the Chief Executive in the manufacturing strategy announcement of 1 September "at the time of the fundraising we said that we thought there could be sufficient demand to fill the Knowsley factory by 2025 (GBP75m sales), albeit these projections are still uncontracted...we have now concluded that we may want this capacity by 2024."

Longshanks - You've summed it up well - "Jam tomorrow certainly, but increasingly jammier jam and from what I read, turnover next year could significantly exceed current market expectations"

If you'd put some hot money in looking for a quick return you might be disappointed by the delay and quickly take it out. I've done that myself in other companies in the past but it's a risky strategy which seldom pays off for a PI.

I'll have Marmite on my toast for a bit longer whilst I wait.
