Yeah I had an actual letter in the post from ii to check my account for a corporate action notification. Wouldn’t have seen it otherwise. Applications on 1k lots

I spoke to a broker who indicated a willingness to make an application in my ISA

The prospectus is here:

but you might have to get it via the website:

If you don't want to go through PB it suggests you need to fill in the application form and enclose some proofs of identity. But on p22 it gives information about intermediaries, so there's still a chance this can be reached via a broker and ISA.

@ rat attack - was your email from your broker?

For whatever reason, they are making this very complicated for ordinary PIs.

Yes I was annoyed I couldn't sign up with an ISA account too!

Yes, that's a nuisance, because they don't accept applications from an ISA (unless they've changed recently).
I'd hope that standard brokers would also facilitate it.

Have Sainsbury's indicated that they will exercise the option to extend the 26-store Occupational Leases. Can anyone shed some light on this matter. Currently not a shareholder, but I'm considering to subscribe the new shares.

Yes as an existing holder with EQI I have been contacted to say I can order in lots of 1000.

Just received email for subscription! About time existing shareholders are included after farce of the previous fund raising.

Many thanks jonwig. I will drop my broker a line and see what transpires. I reckon lawyers must be paid more for lack of clarity! I would certainly be interested to know if existing shareholders get an entitlement to new shares as well as an opportunity to apply

janeann - the wording suggests it's an offer to all, though there's a lack of detail as yet. Sometimes existing shareholders are given preference.

It looks like it closes on 5 Oct. Your broker should be able to tell you in a week or so what's going on. Or you can read it here!

As a non shareholder at present, but interested in becoming one, is this issue of new shares at 104 open to me - or do I need to be an existing shareholder?

Ram,
Last time the problem may have related to Mifid and the fact it wasn’t issued as a retail offering. Only 1 of my two brokers would do it. This time it’s an issue and there should be no problem.

Indeed - 104 is irresistible This is becoming more like a successful US reit - in that it trades at a premium and uses its cost of capital arbitrage over private markets to accretivly capital raise and expand

We were not scaled back last time in an application for about £20,000 and the
MIFID compliance/procedures are easier this time.

I read it that retail subscription is included. They key is whether your ISA provider will support an application. Some brokers may not. In that case, you'd need to fill in the application and get a cert or your CREST.

Anyway, 104p is irressistible.

@ return of the ... - apply for 100k and you'll be scaled down, I guess.

What is stopping you? It includes an offer for subscription. I fully expect to be able to participate.

Anyone think retail will be able to participate in this placing - I am with HL so doubt I'll get a look in - would buy 100k at 1.04 given the opportunity :-(
