People need a certain number of clothes and buy the cheaper product? You obviously haven't met my ex girlfriends

The reality is simple.

People need a certain amount of clothes.

Once you can buy something similar to superdry, they buy the cheaper product.

I like to buy decent clothes so they last, but that's because I'm a grandad now.

For anyone interested in stores performance and what the management are planning to do with stores, I would suggest listening to the audio file of the analysts call which has been available on the Superdry website. Almost all of the analysts’ questions were about stores. In summary the management did blame the weather a bit too much imo. I was left with the impression that they are not looking to close stores right now, but would be proceeding with extreme caution in terms of opening new ones. All in all probably not the message most on here would be looking for.

So all they need to do is shut all the stores?

Ah, thanks, Tsmith2. :-)

Sellers continue to draw in buyers during the morning, only to drop the price in the afternoon.

Guess there'll be a good bounce at some point. Watching.

It's only a dozen shares each.

Completely immaterial.

Check out this blog from Wheelie Dealer covering SDRY amongst other things. He's a top full time investor who's very active on Twitter + his own trading website:http://wheeliedealer.weebly.com/blogJust another opinion on the recent drop and overall business

Closing 1170 - Looks like a 2 year breakout DOWN - If this does not hold does not appear to be much dowside support - OK nice cash pile - no pension problems - JUST - if above reports correct empty shops and loss of market share - plus of couse founder retires with potential stock overhang -

Personally not a big fan of the brand but they are obviously doing something right to grow 22% to £1.6bn, agreed the store sales are under a bit of pressure but this is the same for everyone and they are showing good progress on the Ecom and Wholesale side. Looks well oversold from a valuation standpoint so hopefully sentiment will change over the next couple of days

I sold my holding that I purchased on Friday at a small loss, unfortunately I feel this could drop further until the sentiment changes. GLA

I was looking to buy but after visiting a UK store and see about 5 assistants walking round doing nothing, with only one other person in the store, I have changed my mind.

If their strategy is opening more stores then I will continue to watch.

One needs to maintain perspective. The name Superdry hasn't done too badly in helping build up a £1 billion company.

Only a small amount of short, less than 1%, but the shorters are Marshall Wace and Coltrain, which is making me pause over the buy button. I'm going to wait and see if they increase their size with the downtrend now or take the opportunity to unwind their short at a profit.
