I've been here since day 1 with this shambles of a company. I've lost count of the number of times we've had decent updates. But that's as far as it ever goes. Will it be different this time. Time will tell but highly unlikely.

Decent update. I have been comparing volumes announced today with the old Beaufort Research note:

Beaufort:

We have built a conceptual financial model based on a 275kt operation producing
225kt of pozzolan and 25kt of perlite ore. We assume a 5-year period to achieve
these volumes. We estimate Pozzolan production costs at $40/t (delivered) versus
a $65/t sales price, perlite ore should sell for $75/t at the mine gate.

Today:
Perlite Mining

Phase 1 perlite production (years 1-3) is scheduled to rise quickly from an initial rate of 20,000 tons per annum (tpa) of perlite to 100,000 tpa at the start of Phase 2 (years 4-8) and continue at that rate throughout all of Phases 2 and 3 (years 9-15).

Natural Pozzolan Mining

Pozzolan production is scheduled at an initial rate of 100,000 tpa rising to 300,000 tpa at the end of Phase 1, reaching a steady rate of 500,000 tpa during all of Phases 2 and 3.
.........................

On the old figures Beaufort built a value model and risked it by 67.5%. They came out with a risked figure of £5.7M. Today the risk must be reduced and the project is bigger than Beaufort thought. Should be substantial upside to the NPV.

osammyboy2 - by the way my mention of it rising to 2p was tongue-in-cheek. Little chance of that ever happening. Even if things turn around for Sunrise (and I stress the "even") they will most likely do a consolidation to give the shares a look of respectability. No chance of a share price rising by the necessary multiples to reach the equivalent of 2p once a consolidation happens.
I hold the shares and I would be as happy as anyone to see them rise in value. Unfortunately, its unlikely that this will happen.

It takes a special kind of person to drag 2 companies like Sunrise Resources and Tertiary Minerals to the depths they have now reached. But it has happened!

In truth this is high risk but Ive been im for 18 months now and not quitting now lol I believe the project will go ahead in all honesty. Mid 2019 though is where am looking at any real decent rise when permits all done and dusted.

Consider that Sunrise has 2.436 billion shares in issue and yet has a market cap of of just £4.14 million. That does create certain problems in terms of how any asset might be diluted across so many shares. Just open a spreadsheet and do a few simple calculations and you will see. Just how high could this share go? 1 penny ... 2 pence?

From the RNS of Sept 3

Mine Design

The Company has completed all of its internal mine planning work and a contract has been awarded to leading international mine consultants SRK Consulting in Reno, Nevada, to provide final mine designs for inclusion in the Company's permitting Plan of Operations and Reclamation Permit.

Whilst a substantially longer mine life is anticipated, an initial 15-year mine plan has been developed divided into three phases of open-pit build out. This will allow for progressive bonding of the mine reclamation to minimise the initial reclamation bond.

SRK's work will take up to 4 weeks to complete.

-----------------------------------------------------------

So the company might get the mine plan from SRK this week. When that is released to the market is something I dont know, but it would be big news since we could see the proposed tonnages and timeline which would allow analysts to compute an approximate NPV.
Since the Mine Plan has to be included with the filings for permitting and that process should allow public comment, the company should update shareholders at that time I would have thought.

Agree. But future performance (production) is to differ from past performance. Therefore surely with this taking place a re rate would commence
