28/3/2008 13:53 | was it 1 mill or 3 mill??? (either way its alot compared to usual volume!) | pistolpete100
28/3/2008 13:49 | yup, really not helped by the fact that progress here seems to be painfully slow... - this aint goin to budge 1 bit until there is some credible good news (which, on current performance wont be any time soon) On the plus side (trying to be positive!) they seem to be sitting on a reasonable amout of dimaonds and on last news a director upped is stake which is usually a good sign (unless of course these shares were from another director!) Recent spate of selling seems to me like alot of folks have simply run out of patience Anyone know when the next RNS may be?? | pistolpete100
28/3/2008 11:21 | Was that a million shares at 0.85p ? That's gotta hurt reeeal bad. | arf dysg
28/3/2008 10:50 | are you guys lovers? | ceckyspunt
22/3/2008 09:14 | Yes, I have also wondered about markus and his so like-minded 'behind the bike-sheds' mates. Rocket on the other hand has been around for years, but then I guess the juveniles here, have not. Still its entirely understandable, that markus feels a bit battered (bit of a plonker) and has a desperate need to try to score some points (via like-minded 'bike-shed' mates if necessary). Quite pitiful, but no less than expected... no doubt he will continue to prattle on and on and on and on and on and on and on... while simualtaneously insisting that his comment are about SDS... markusantonius - 21 Mar'08 - 12:57 - 977 of 984 Anyway back to discussing the profit potential (or otherwise) of our beloved Sunrise Diamonds...? It is yet another of those ADVFN Pavlov's dog scenarios. So, lets see just what tricks young markus can do... TING-A-LING!!... | katylied
21/3/2008 23:28 | Indeed, Nige... they could even be siamese twins:- male and female? Katy could be a she-male and Rockie could be a he-femme fatale? After all, they do tend to compliment each other, quite a bit! | markusantonius
21/3/2008 22:54 | Katylied and Rocketeer = a very similar style of writing. Could they be one and the same??? The plot deepens. Anyway all this gives us something to take our minds off SDS for a while. | nigthepig
21/3/2008 15:17 | I like a lateral thinker Arf, but you are probably stretching a wee bit there... | katylied
21/3/2008 14:46 | KatyLied, your cartoon can be interpreted a totally different way. There is someone inside trying to get out, and the guy in the stripey T shirt is pushing the door to prevent this, i.e. to keep it shut. Now that's a totally different story which you can miss if you jump to the obvious conclusion. | arf dysg
21/3/2008 13:11 | Long time Rocket... No, I cannot honestly recommend SDS. It is a dark place for shareholders at present. Even the resident bottom feeder gave up about a week ago. Cheap is relative, it could get cheaper still. Basically the company lives hand to mouth on fund-raising, piddels around for a week or 2 every 6 months. Then puts out inconsequential results and disappears for months on end. Something might happen someday, but the waiting is now measured in years... | katylied
21/3/2008 12:58 | What chances of a positive corporate update in a Sunday tabloid...? | markusantonius
21/3/2008 12:57 | Oh well,... it's reassuring to learn that the Company has such intellectual shareholders, eh? Hmmm... Anyway back to discussing the profit potential (or otherwise) of our beloved Sunrise Diamonds...? | markusantonius
21/3/2008 10:38 | markusantonius - 20 Mar'08 - 20:59 - 974 of 975 ..Perhaps he or she or it is a transvestite? Transvestite? Now how predictable and desperate was that? Back to the wall and nowhere to go, so Marcus now opts for a LadyBoy (classic behind the bike-sheds stuff). I guess marcus's 'potential' was apparant even in his earliest school years... | katylied
20/3/2008 20:59 | No idea, Nige. But it must be potent, whatever it is - and it obviously does strange things to a person's brain! Anyway my apologies to KatyLied for thinking that he/she was a female - how presumptious of me to assume that Katy must be a female... Perhaps he or she or it is a transvestite? | markusantonius
20/3/2008 19:37 | Well obviously not the mind numbing stuff you clowns are shooting up... Ho Hmmmm... | katylied
20/3/2008 19:33 | Can't believe this - what on earth is Katy on? Maybe I will give it a try - might take away the dullness of this share at present. | nigthepig
20/3/2008 19:20 | Then don't pay me complements, don't patronise me and don't be disrespectful when you have absolutely no knowledge of who I am. You are apparantly so challenged mentally, as to have assumed I am female based solely on the fact that the first 4 letters of my login-id (named after a SteelyDan album) happen to compare to a 'female' name. You might reflect for a moment that John Wayne's real life first name was 'Marion', no doubt you would have called him 'dear' as well. Just how thick are you marcus? Should I assume from your login id that you are an ancient Roman who should have died ~2000 years ago? What stupid and naive assumptions should I assume from your login name marcus? Do tell... | katylied
20/3/2008 18:50 | Steady on, Katy... If this is the kind of reply I get after paying you a compliment, then I would hate to cross you when it is THAT time of the month for YOU! My simple reply is to perhaps consider using soap to wash out one's mouth, my dear - just some advice which might help you with your problem...? Anyway back to Sunrise... | markusantonius
20/3/2008 18:00 | Glad to read that you can give a fair post without resorting to 4-letter swear words, Katy! Anyway I disagree with a couple of your comments but I do agree wholeheartedly (I'm sad to say) with your last paragraph... Mr. Cheetham had an explemporary reputation pre SDS, ie. an "honest geologist!" (and he may still be?). However, devoid of a substantiated MACRO discovery and/or a high profile JV partner any time soon, I fear you may be right, above, my dear! But, one never knows... Mr. Cheetham could always submit a reply/response of sorts herewith...? This would, at the very least, help to renew some of the lost faith from us loyal (and long suffering!) supporters...? | markusantonius
20/3/2008 17:58 | No reason why sensible algorithms cannot be constructed to determine what share price movements should be in the light of specific trade volumes taking into account all of the variable factors involved for a particular company. The alternative - of market makers moving prices on the whim of what might have happened overnight elsewhere - is certainly without justification. | benchmark
20/3/2008 14:14 | That couldn't really work (most european exchanges?) could it? It will always (to some degree) depend on how many shares are available to the market at what price (not necessarily already bought/sold, just available). If there are too many, the bid may fall, the sell NMS shrink and the buy NMS grow. Too few and the opposite will occur. The share-price and buying/selling volumes will always have at best an 'elastic' relationship... For example, I also hold some VDM which should really be doing better than it is. But the fact is, everyone knows RAB (and perhaps others) will at this time, sell into any strength. Indeed a couple of days ago RAB did report a 1%+ disposal. The MMs know the situation and are more inclined to drop the price to prevent that from happening, than raise it because the price of Tin is booming... I don't think SDS has got any market goodwill left. I don't think Cheetham's reputation is worth a damn anymore. I don't think the usual 'hype' will work for SDS anymore. The only way this share will rise, is if they deliver something of value. That could still happen, but heavens only knows when... | katylied
20/3/2008 13:42 | Yes ... its a disgrace that share price movements are not dictated solely by volume - which is the case on most European exchanges | benchmark
20/3/2008 13:17 | The price can move even if there are no trades. The market makers choose what the price will be, so if they're having a bad hair day, (e.g. someone told them that their bum really did look big in that) they'll drop the price, just so that everyone else can have as bad a day as they're having. | arf dysg |
