As at 20th March 2008 there were 88,764,767 shares in issue. 45.16% of shares are in public hands

Sweet China Plc acquired Essential Box Confectionery Ltd, a UK Company with a Hong Kong based trading subsidiary.

Essential Box markets a range of confectionery brands, manufactured in China, to retailers in Australasia, USA and Europe.

It's key brands are :

Jessica Walker; an innovative line of premium quality hand finished chocolate products

Lings; a range of traditional confectionery

Candy Craft; A Children's novelty line.

Dr J - Greetings - Just went to Tesco's and browsed through Investors Chronicle - there is a small article about SWC - I dont recall the whole article but their view was "One to Watch"

Does anybody have the full article?

That might be a little too optimistic William. However, this board looks very strong with lots of relevant experience so I see good things ahead for SWC. After such a long and frustrating wait it would be very nice to see a decent share price for us all. I would expect more news in the not too distant future as well which might include things starting to move more quickly re CYC too now that SWC has re floated.

There may be a lot of selling on the Stock Market today to cover cfd positions. MF Global have informed clients they have to put up more cash to cover their margins or close their positions. Other brokers may follow suit. This along with selling because of investor concerns about the market generally may make this a bad day on the market. Very unlucky for SWC perhaps but then decent shares will still attract investors. Still feel these will go up over the next few weeks even if they don't today.
