i've sold three quarters of my sty holding to bolster my TRD holding. bigger gains there short term by my reckoning given ridiculously low p/e and market cap

rhomboid, that's how I read it, 'business as usual' humble retainer has been kept on the payroll. It's very good value for the Bank's as they have a very efficient and very reliable entity to take all the hassle out of re-furbs. For STY it's a shop window, they can point to their Bank contracts to demonstrate just how good they are. Lets hope it also leads to steadily improving profits and no more onerous debts.

You would think that Sty could apply it's skills to other areas as at least a consultant? Since what they do is all about taking care of legal hassles before starting work, and then managing the supply of materials and labour in a carefully choreographed manner. All of which sound like highly transferable skills.

I think the confusion is over how much new *new* business this represents potentially.
You could read RNS and think it's just secured an existing client for longer

The stock market is a very strange place sometimes.A company brings out great news, and because of that, the companies share price goes down.
You can't win.....!!

STYLES & WOOD GROUP REAPPOINTED TO MAJOR BANKING FRAMEWORK

Styles & Wood Group plc ("Styles & Wood" or the "Group"), the integrated property services and project delivery specialist, is pleased to announce that it has been reappointed to the framework of one of the UK's leading financial services institutions to deliver construction services.

This is a great company, don't think this is a spike QS99, think is just recovering some lost ground. This share is highest percentage of my portfolio, bought when first tipped by SW, hoping to keep until it approx £6-£7 per share as has been tipped. I'm not expecting news until early 2017 so anything before xmas would be a nice bonus.

I guess people are looking for profits in the £8m to £10m bracket, as the debts/bonds drop away. Certainly seems harshly undervalued for what now appears to be a very well run business. But then as mere shareholders one never knows what is really going on.

last year there was no news flow until early NY, so nice to see step up today despite time frames unlikely IMO therefore until NY for an update. or perhaps they will surprise us with one?
